An incredible milestone for the Brian Conlon Foundation.

Tomorrow, 28 July, marks seven years since we lost Brian, making today’s milestone all the more meaningful.

The Brian Conlon Foundation has now donated over £1 million to Queen’s University Belfast, supporting life-changing research into Barrett’s oesophagus and oesophageal cancer, alongside the Brian Conlon GAA Scholarship.

While Brian is deeply missed every day, his legacy continues to improve lives across Northern Ireland and beyond, ensuring his vision inspires hope, opportunity and life-changing research for generations to come.

Congratulations to Isaac Robinson and Katie Dowds, this year’s recipients of the Brian Conlon Scholarship.

A former Head Boy of Rathmore Grammar School, Isaac is a talented Gaelic footballer who represents St Brigid’s GAC Belfast, having progressed through the club’s underage ranks. His dedication, discipline and commitment to the sport earned him a place on the Antrim U20 panel.

Katie is an inter-county footballer with Donegal Ladies and is widely regarded as one of the county’s most promising young talents. A club player with Sean MacCumhaills, she has progressed through the ranks from minor level to senior inter-county football.

Both Isaac and Katie are exceptional athletes who consistently perform at the highest level while successfully balancing the demands of their academic studies. Their dedication, work ethic and pursuit of excellence embody the values that have become synonymous with the Brian Conlon Scholarship.

We congratulate them on this well deserved achievement and wish them every success in the future.
