The Clothes Horse cic help you to keep clothes in circulation, out of landfill and supporting families financially struggling. The Clothes Horse is a social enterprise here to provide clothes for children in the community. Clothes can wreck havoc on our environment so by wearing preloved clothing it is helping the environment. Come and swap your clothes for ours or you can pay for them with any do

nations going back into The Clothes Horse. The Clothes Horse can offer any type of clothing needed from school uniform items, casual clothing, coats and warm clothing for the winter months. If you can not get to us send us a message and we can post you a clothes parcel. If you would like to donate clothing then please let us know.

We often have people donating clothes to us that feel rather emotional. They have donated their babies clothes and their babies are now all grown up.

What is special though is knowing that these clothes will be able to be worn again and enjoyed again.

Our incredible volunteers make sure that the clothes that go on our rails are in great condition going with the ethos of 'would we put our own children/ grandchildren in this' if the answer is yes then out on the rails it goes.

We have clothes from newborn to 14 years including school uniform, shoes, dressing up, coats and wellies. We also have maternity wear.

We are a community interest company and we help parents and carers get clothes for their children whilst helping the environment.

We have a hub where you can come and get clothes leaving a cash or card donation for what you take, all proceeds goes back into the running of The Clothes Horse so that we can help families across families whom are finically struggling get clothes.

Our hub is at Newquay Treloggan Industrial Estate and we open Fridays 1230 to 230pm.

Clothing is such a contributor to damage caused by this world and we need to change this. Wearing vintage and reusing clothes so their life cycle can go on and on is a great way to do this.

By reusing we are not having to buy new clothes which not only costs but also can be a cost on the planet. You have probably already heard some of the facts such as the large amount of water it takes to create a pair of jeans or the pesticides that are often used on the cotton grown to create a t-shirt.

At the moment we have some gems of clothes at The Clothes Horse. Some good vintage pieces.

We open on Fridays and stock clothes from newborn to 14 years as well as maternity clothes. Leave cash or card donation for what you take.

Fast fashion become a thing a few years ago. This is when clothes are made super quickly to keep up with fashion trends. The garments made are created speedily for many brands at low prices. Since these items are mass produced and quickly they are not made to last. When they fall apart after little wear sadly they are destined for landfill. A daunting fact is that it is estimated in the UK 10,000 items of clothing goes to landfill every 5 minutes. Eek.

At The Clothes Horse we are embracing the slow approach. We are slowing down the rush of buying new by lengthening the life of clothes already out there. By donating your quality clothes to us we can pro long its life.

We set out clothes in our shop and people can come and look through our rails and take what they need for their children. We are stacked at the moment with summer clothes, wellies, swimmers, shorts, hats from newborn to teens.

Come and see us. Leave a cash or card donation for what you take which goes towards the running of our Community interest company.

When we chose preloved clothes we are already winning as the already washed element of preloved means that clothes already feel gentle and soft on the skin, a nice to know when we are going to be dressing our newborn in it or our wiggly toddler or comfort loving teenager.

It is also great for the environment.

The other thing about choosing preloved is that because they have already been washed any potential chemicals that were in the garment has been washed away through multiple washes.

We know how much you love your children and want the best for them and this includes what they wear, what touches their skin.

At The Clothes Horse we have volumes of children’s clothes that are mainly preloved. They are soft, clean and many of them are made of natural fibres. We are so passionate about what we do because we know how important it is to you just as it is for us and our children.

We are not open today but we will be open next Friday.

You can also take your time, going through labels, checking that the clothes you pick are right for you and your family. Its important to us because we get it. We get how important your children are to you and that you want the best for them including what they wear.
