A few weeks ago, Roxie Moron and Ginger should have been doing something incredibly ordinary, reading stories, making families laugh and bringing alot of joy to Camborne Library

Instead, h4te and intimidation meant that couldn’t happen.

We are super proud to be part of this first meeting brought together with Perran Moon for Camborne, Redruth and Hayle , Devon & Cornwall Police , Cornwall Council , Camborne Town Council and Redruth Town Councils, our Cornwall Libraries, and of course Redruth Pride !!! and others.

What happened to Roxie and Ginger cannot just become another horrible moment that we move on from.

This means making reporting clearer, challenging misinformation, giving communities the confidence to stand against h4te and making sure LGBTQ+ people know they are not standing alone.

Cornwall is our home and we can all do better

We will always show up 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

One person was killed and at least 17 others were injured after a vehicle drove into a crowd near Berlin Pride today, bringing what should have been a joyful celebration to a heartbreaking end. Authorities are continuing to investigate the attack.

Lots of love and solidarity to our LGBTQ+ siblings in Berlin.

This is why we still have Pride.

Because being able to gather openly, celebrate who you are, and exist without fear is not something everyone can take for granted.

Pride is joy.
Pride is community.
Pride is resilience.
Pride is resistance.

Today, we’re holding the people of Berlin close in our hearts. 🏳️‍🌈❤️

Cornwall Pride stands with CSD Berlin Pride and the entire LGBTQ+ community following the devastating attack during Christopher Street Day.

Our thoughts are with the person who lost their life, everyone who was injured, those still receiving treatment, their families and friends, the event team, volunteers and emergency services.

Pride should be a place where people can gather safely, to celebrate, to protest, to be visible and to stand together. Nobody should face violence simply because they attended Pride or because of who they are.

This attack will understandably create fear across our community. We hear that fear, and we share the grief and anger being felt today. But we will not allow h4te to make LGBTQ+ people invisible, and we will not answer one form of hate by directing hatred towards another community.

Pride has always been about solidarity.

Today, our solidarity is with Berlin.

We grieve together. We stand together. And we remain visible together.
