Newquay Lions Club Newquay Lions Club are a voluntary organisation. We come together to combine our skills and time to raise money for our local and international communities.

Here at Newquay Lions Club we raise money throughout the year by organising various different events and fundraising. As well as raising money throughout the year we also donate to worthy causes. Our members at Newquay Lions cover many age ranges and we always welcome new

, likeminded people to come and join the club. We meet on the third Wednesday of every month and our meetings start at 7pm, sharp! If you would like some further information or if you need our help please get in touch.

๐Ÿฆ Newquay Lions Honours Members with Melvin Jones Fellowship Awards

A proud evening for Newquay Lions Club, as five outstanding members were recognised for their exceptional service to our community with Melvin Jones Fellowship Awards โ€” the highest honour in Lionism.

President Barb May led the ceremony, celebrating those whose dedication and compassion truly embody the Lions spirit of service.

๐Ÿ… ๐—๐—ถ๐—น๐—น ๐—ช๐—ถ๐—น๐—น๐—บ๐—ผ๐˜๐˜ โ€“ for her passionate support of young people, leading the Young Citizens Award and the Holiday for Deserving Families project.
Beyond Lions, she serves as Chair of Trustees for Trenance Cottages and supports charities including the NSPCC.

๐Ÿ… ๐—ฃ๐—ฒ๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐—›๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐˜€๐—ผ๐—ป โ€“ for his longstanding leadership, managing the 100 Club and supporting community transport and events.
Peter is also part of the minibus driving team, regularly assisting local community groups, and is a familiar face at Bingo sessions and the Friday Dining Club, which he helps run with his wife, Lorraine.

๐Ÿ…๐—•๐—ฎ๐—ฏ๐˜€ ๐—›๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ป๐—ฎ๐—ป โ€“ for tireless work as Club Secretary and leadership in welfare and environmental projects.
A charter member of Towan Blystra Lions Club, she helped establish Newquayโ€™s first mixedโ€‘gender Lions Club before transferring to Newquay Lions. Outside of Lions, Babs is President of Newquay in Bloom, an RHS assessor for South West in Bloom, and Minute Secretary for Newquay Football Club.

๐Ÿ… ๐——๐—ฎ๐˜ƒ๐—ถ๐—ฑ ๐—˜๐˜ƒ๐—ถ๐˜€๐—ผ๐—ป โ€“ for years of cheerful service as President, Transport Manager, and volunteer at community events.
Known for his cheerful presence at community events and his baking skills at Bingo nights, David has also volunteered with Coastwatch, helping keep the public safe along the shoreline.

๐Ÿ… ๐—ฃ๐—ฒ๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐—•๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ด๐—ด โ€“ for his commitment as Treasurer and Zone Chairman, supporting Lions across the region and beyond.
Beyond Lions, he founded an orphanage in Kenya, dedicating time and resources to its development, and serves as a Trustee of Newquay Football Club.
