Many hands make light work!

Thanks to all the ladies that came for our gardening session tonight πŸ’•πŸ‘©β€πŸŒΎ

Someone has dumped a chest of drawers in the garden - is there anyone that would be able to take them to the tip for us please πŸ™

We received a beautiful email earlier this week from Michelle who joined us earlier this year for a gardening session.

"I returned with my camera yesterday afternoon for some nature therapy as was feeling a little low. I saw a few red admiral butterflies moving about high in the buddleja and the glimpse of a gatekeeper in the long grass just beneath but I think it got skittish from activity on the pavement.

There were plenty of bees to keep me amused though especially around - what appears to be oregano - a little aromatherapy at the same time! I took a few photos of the apple ripening in the tree too."

Natural spaces help your brain rest, lower your blood pressure, and boost your overall mental well-being in just a few minutes a day - as you're passing take a couple of minutes out to enjoy the garden, like Michelle did.

The garden is looking a little tired, but the makeover should be starting in the next couple of months. In the meantime, it's a beautiful place to sit, relax and take in nature.

More of this please!

Thank you Michelle

Solid hour in the Garden - got lots cleared away.

Now we've found some strange things in the bushes in the past (including a suitcase of rotting meat!) but today we found a lobster 🦞 and a cheese grater. And a LOT of beer cans.

Please don't chuck your rubbish in the garden - there are lots of bins just down the road.

3 of us spent an hour in the Garden this evening, battling the weeds and watering. Still lots to do and it would be great to have some helping hands!

Next session 2 weeks today and every 2 weeks on Monday evening from 5.30

Also, please note that since the bin was removed, there is no longer a rubbish collection from the garden. Please DON'T leave rubbish in the garden expecting it to be picked up, as it won't.

We're returning the rubbish pictured to it's original owner who was spotted dumping these boxes earlier today, along with a polite note.

Brilliant session .... if you're passing and have 5 mins spare, we'd be hugely grateful if you could pull a couple of weeds up or remove litter πŸ‘¨β€πŸŒΎπŸ‘©β€πŸŒΎ

We're so incredibly grateful to the wonderful team at Laurence Associates for their generous support.

When we were told we needed to apply for planning permission for the redevelopment project, we approached them to ask for help. We also dropped in that we had no spare funds to pay for their expertise!

So we owe a huge 'thank you' to the team for giving us their time and skills, and for securing planning permission for the garden redevelopment.

We're so close to kicking off the project and can't wait to see our dreams become a reality.

Great news from Newquay.

Laurence Associates has secured full planning permission for the redevelopment of a valued community garden, helping transform an underused space that had fallen into disrepair.

Working alongside architects and community stakeholders, our team helped bring forward plans for a refreshed public space featuring new seating, lawn areas, improved planting, a shade sail and better access throughout the site.

The approved scheme will improve safety, boost biodiversity, support local businesses and create a more welcoming place for residents and visitors to enjoy.

We look forward to seeing this important community space brought back to life.

If you have plans for a community project or development proposal, our team would be delighted to help guide the planning process.

Last week was a little challenging, to say the least ..... but today we received brilliant news!

We have been granted Planning Permission so that the project can go ahead. We had never really doubted that this would be the case, but with these things, you never know.

We would like to say a HUGE thank you to Laurence Associates in Truro for giving us pro-bono support with the process. We had to raid the coffers to pay for the planning application process, but without Tom and Richard at Laurence Associates expertise and generosity of time we wouldn't have been able to get through the process properly.

Another hurdle overcome .... so close to getting started!
