🍳 THE PRICE OF BREAKFAST? £0. THE VALUE? A LOT MORE. 💚

Funny how something as simple as breakfast can make such a difference.

To a child, it's something to eat.

To a parent, it's one less thing to worry about.

And to a family struggling with rising costs, it might just make the school holidays a little easier.

That's why Feed Newport is doing something simple this October half-term.

We're taking the price off breakfast. Completely.

🥚 FREE HALF-TERM BREAKFAST

🎂 THANK YOU FOR ALL THE BIRTHDAY WISHES! 💚

I've had some lovely messages today, and I genuinely appreciate every single one.

Now, if you were thinking of buying me a birthday coffee, here's a little idea…

☕ Buy me a coffee. Or better still, buy someone a cuppa and a chat.

🍳 Help feed a child or family during half-term.

🍲 Or simply gift someone a hot meal when they need it most.

Funny thing about a cup of coffee. To one person, it's just a drink. To someone else, it might be the first proper conversation they've had all week.

Same few pounds. Completely different value.

So, if you fancy turning a birthday wish into a little bit of kindness, here's the link:

No pressure, no expectations. Your birthday messages have already made my day.

But perhaps together, we can make someone else's too. 💚

Because the best birthday presents aren't always the ones you receive. 🎁

🍽️ SEVEN RECEIPTS. SEVEN STORIES. ONE NEWPORT.

What if a takeaway receipt told you more than the price of dinner?

❤️ EVERY MEAL HAS A STORY.

This Christmas, Feed Newport Community Kitchen is sharing seven stories behind food poverty in our community.

🧾 Empty plates.
🧾 Working but still struggling.
🧾 Parents under pressure.
🧾 School holiday hunger.
🧾 Loneliness.
🧾 Homelessness.
🧾 The power of community kindness.

These aren't real orders or individual case studies. Each receipt represents a struggle that too often goes unseen.

Because behind every meal is a person, not a statistic.

And these receipts aren't about what someone owes.

❤️ They're about what we can give.

🍽️ A hot meal. A warm welcome. A little dignity.

🎄 THIS CHRISTMAS, DON'T JUST READ THE STORIES. HELP CHANGE ONE.

You don't need to give a fortune to make a difference.

Whatever you can afford, your kindness can help Feed Newport provide food, warmth and a welcoming place for people facing difficult times.

💚 A WARM WELCOME & A BIG THANK YOU! 💚

We're delighted to welcome Ashley, our newest volunteer, to the Feed Newport team! 🙌

One of the most rewarding parts of what we do is mentoring volunteers, helping people develop new skills, build confidence and realise just how much they have to offer their community.

We also want to give a very special thank you to Steph and Richard for their ongoing kindness, generosity and support. ❤️

Their thoughtful donations are helping three separate community initiatives:

🧥 Wrap Up Newport – helping keep local people warm through the colder months.

🧦 Socktober – providing much-needed socks to people experiencing hardship.

👶 Baby Basics Community Reuse Centre – supporting families with essential baby items.

Three different initiatives, one thing in common: local people looking out for one another.

Because a stronger community isn't built by one person doing everything. It's built by lots of people doing something. 💚

Thank you for being part of it!

🧥💚 WRAP UP NEWPORT IS BACK!

As the colder days arrive, a warm coat can make a big difference.

Wrap Up Newport returns on 1 November, bringing our community together to help keep Newport warm this winter.

📅 Save the date — more details on how to get involved coming soon!

Please share and help us spread the warmth. 💚

💚 THREE YOUNG PEOPLE. ONE COMMUNITY. A BIG DIFFERENCE.

Sometimes the best lessons aren't learned in a classroom.

They're learned by turning up, rolling up your sleeves and doing something that matters.

👏 A huge thank you to Shola, Phoebe and Betty, who joined us at Feed Newport as part of their Welsh Baccalaureate volunteering.

They gave us their time, energy and enthusiasm, helping support our community.

🎥 Here's a little glimpse of one of their volunteering days.

For us, it's not just about completing volunteering hours. It's about giving young people the opportunity to experience community spirit, develop confidence and see the difference kindness can make.

💚 Because when young people give their time to their community, everyone gains something.

Thank you for being part of Team Feed Newport!
