On Sunday, one man will cycle into Cardiff. Roads will be closed. Crowds will line the road and cheer. Strictly speaking, there will be 120-or-so other cyclists with him, as well as team cars and motorbikes. But the crowd will be there to cheer the greatest Welsh road cyclist of all time. The route, the final stage of this year's Tour of Britain, will take Geraint Thomas past the pub where he had his first pint, the velodrome where he learned to ride, and close to his parents home. It will be a fitting farewell as our only Tour de France champion retires from the sport he has helped propel into the nation's hearts. Chapeau Geraint πŸ‘
