The upgrade to the Club that volunteers started a couple of months ago is mainly complete. You will find a welcoming entrance for members and visitors with a new lounge area allowing more space for socialising and events. Everywhere has been redecorated and made more inviting, with displays on the walls showing more about the Club's current activities and a Time-Line telling about the Club's history.
Trophies for snooker and petanque are now clearly displayed and tidied up so we can all see what was won in the past! Also our impressive, but tired, snooker score board has been professionally restored and takes pride of place in the refreshed snooker area. We also listened to your concerns about the seating, and we now have new chairs with padded seats and backs. There's still more to be done, but remember nearly everything relies on volunteers and keeping to a tight budget.
Why not come along next Friday to see what has been done? The drinks remain at last year's very competitive prices and you will meet old friends and neighbours in relaxed, safe and very convivial surroundings.
