So much happening behind the scenes.
Our young stars are busy rehearsing for a special interfaith remembrance event at the ICC, organised by the Royal British Legion.

We’re also thrilled that a new potential cohort of young people will soon begin their journey to becoming qualified swim coaches, thanks to the fantastic support of Newport Live

It’s about more than sports,its about breaking barriers, creating career pathways and inspiring more young people from diverse backgrounds to enter professions where their communities are underrepresented.

A huge thank you to Newport Live for continuing to champion inclusion and create opportunities for our communities.

At KidCare4U, we’re not just opening doors we’re inspiring the next generation to walk through them.

Our women’s group enjoying some quality time together over a cup of tea, getting creative with crafts, chatting, laughing and connecting.

Both of our women’s groups enjoyed a lovely trip out, taking some time to connect with nature, enjoy the greenery and spend quality time together.

Being outdoors and surrounded by nature can be so good for our mental health and wellbeing giving us a chance to switch off, recharge and simply enjoy the moment.

A beautiful day of connection, laughter and wellbeing for our ladies.

Our young people had a brilliant time getting creative with LEGO building, designing, problem-solving and, most importantly, having fun together.

Our women had a great opportunity to visit Maindee Fire Station, where they learned more about our local fire service, fire safety and how to keep themselves and their families safe.

A really informative and engaging experience, with lots of questions and practical advice shared.

A huge thank you to the team at South Wales Fire & Rescue ServiceMaindee for the warm welcome and for taking the time to support our women.

We are delighted to announce that KidCare4U has been nominated for the Diversity in Sports Champion Award at the Mastering Diversity Awards 2026.

This nomination recognises our work using sport to create practical pathways into health, confidence, wellbeing and community participation.

Through women-only activities, coach development, weekly football for men and outdoor opportunities for young people, we work to ensure that sport is welcoming, culturally responsive and accessible across generations.

This recognition belongs to our participants, coaches, volunteers, families, partners and the wider KidCare4U community. Every session, every new opportunity and every person who finds the confidence to participate helps move us forward.

The Awards will take place at Senedd Cymru on Thursday 19 November 2026, with the Diversity in Sports Champion category sponsored by Commonwealth Games Team Wales.

KidCare4U has been recognised by the Welsh Government as an example of best practice in promoting Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in youth work across Wales.

We are incredibly proud and delighted to share that KidCare4U has been selected as a case study showcasing best practice promoting in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in youth work in Wales

The case study has been published on the Welsh Government’s Hwb platform, highlighting our work with diverse young people and communities.

It’s wonderful to see the work of our staff, volunteers and young people recognised and shared as an example of inclusive youth work practice across Wales. A proud moment for the whole KidCare4U.
