A busy and enjoyable week across our two women’s groups, with plenty of crocheting, conversation, and community connection.

A big thank you to Frances from the IOPC for joining us and sharing valuable information about the support available to members of the public. The session helped participants better understand their rights and the processes in place should they ever wish to raise concerns or provide feedback about their own or a family member’s interaction with the police. It was an informative and accessible session, particularly for those who may not have been aware of these services. Thank you for taking the time to engage with our community.

Extremely busy but amazing day at KidCare4U today, ending with our final publishing workshop led by Bom Hadau. Thank you for giving the children such a wonderful experience.

Congratulations to our three winners and two runners-up in the No-Dog Zone poster competition , the winning design will be displayed at the new green space behind the Pill Millennium Centre. Thank you Beccy for bringing the prizes.

A huge thank you also to Kamal Ali from My Salah Mat for gifting over 100 children and sharing his inspiring journey from Pill to achieving success both in Wales and internationally. A truly inspiring day for our young people and community.

KidCare4U is delighted to be invited to Buckingham Palace to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of DofE.

We are extremely proud to be a registered DofE centre and look forward to supporting our new cohort through their Bronze and Silver Awards.

Today’s celebration also reminded us how important it is to make DofE more accessible and inclusive for young people from diverse communities. We remain committed to breaking down barriers and creating opportunities for all young people to thrive.

Delighted to share that Kidcare4u has been nominated again for BBC making a difference awards.

We don’t know who nominated us, but whoever it was, thank you , it truly means a lot. Whether it’s a big award or a small recognition, every bit of support reminds us that people see the difference we’re trying to make. From baking delicious muffins to writing articles and carrying out interviews for the Bom Hadau magazine, our young people are developing amazing new skills.

At the same time, we are shaping our new volunteering programme , supporting volunteers with professionalism, expectations, and leadership skills as we help develop our future leaders. Proud of all the growth, creativity, and teamwork happening at KidCare4U.
