We have already shared about our youth volunteers but would like to now share about the amazing adult volunteers that give their all day in, day out.

*Operational member - Our operational members learn vital lifesaving skills. They then implement those skills at public events of all sizes, from small fetes to principality stadium.

*Youth helpers +Youth leaders
Our youth leaders are essential to allow for youth to gain experience and confidence in first. They help develop and prepare the health care workers of the future.

*Community Training
A number of our volunteers help train members of our local city wide community for free to teach vital lifesaving skills such as CPR, choking, recovery position, bleeding and Defibrillator awareness et al.

*Logistics
Our logistics team members help our operational members preparing the setting up, equipment and supplies on duty as well as the packing up.

*Leadership
Volunteers that give up their time to assist our volunteers and manage our buildings etc to ensure all other functions can run smoothly.

*Fundraisers and support members
Our support and fundraising members help support our other volunteer members, they help ensure that they have the correct training equipment for both youth and adults. This includes grant writing and participating in bag packing etc.

Some of volunteers cross over roles and no limits to the work they do in their local communities. We appreciate them all and thank them for all they do, not just in volunteers week but every day!

We are proud to share with you our amazing volunteers and opportunities. Did you know our cadet opportunities have been available in the city for over 100 years

Our cadet members start from the age of 11 up to 16 and learn vital lifesaving skills among other subjects and can attend events to assist in event cover.

We have been very lucky in Newport seeing many former cadets attend university to study medicine, nursing and paramedical science and used their experiences learnt to help in their careers, with many happy to return to help current cadets.
