HomeShare is a matching scheme which brings together householders aged 50+ who have unused space available in their homes and younger (18+) sharers who are in need of affordable, suitable accomodation.Householders may be finding everyday tasks becoming difficult and want help in order to prolong independent living in known and loved homes and communities. Whatever the reason for wanting help with

everyday tasks, this help comes from a home sharer who pledges an agreed amount of assistance in exchange for an affordable place to live. The help provided does not include personal care. Sharers are thoroughly vetted and carefully matched on the basis of mutual interests, personal needs and lifestyle to arrive at compatible, mutually beneficial and enjoyable home sharing. HomeShare is new to the Isle of Wight but has been tried and tested for many years elsewhere in the UK and overseas, resulting in successful, lasting and enjoyable matches for sharers.
