Let’s talk about the impact women have on men’s lives… because sometimes, it’s deeper than we think.

In 2022, two stories shook Nigeria’s social media space: Korra Obidi & Justin Dean, and Yul Edochie & May Edochie.

Yul’s story was heartbreaking. After over 20 years of marriage and nearly 25 years together, he betrayed a woman who stood by him, built with him, and gave him four children. He secretly got another woman pregnant, married her traditionally, and his wife only found out through social media. Her only words? “May God judge you both.” That kind of pain… you don’t recover from it easily.

During this saga, tragedy struck—their 17-year-old son, Kambili, died suddenly while playing football with friends. A mother shattered, grieving her child… do you know what the father was doing? He was online, making skits with the same woman who broke his home. And the side chick came out to defend this show of shame with, “You can’t tell a man how to mourn his dead.” It was beyond insensitive, it was cruel. Even his own brothers couldn’t stay silent, calling him to order, but he came online attacking them too, even blocking them on his social media handles.

Yet May said nothing. She buried her son with dignity. She carried her pain quietly… and then she walked away. Filed for divorce. Her reason? “I can never be numbered in a family I built with blood, love, and sweat.” 😥

And as if betrayal wasn’t enough, the same man allegedly withdrew money from their children’s savings, money meant for their future and used it to build a new life with the other woman.

As the case was in court, she began to do the things she had stopped doing, all because she was married to a narcissist who constantly gaslighted her whenever she tried to grow. She launched her hair care line, opened multiple businesses, stepped into acting and influencing. In fact, it surprised many people how well she thrived. She also became a United Nations Eminent Peace Ambassador and advocates for intentional motherhood.

The husband just like Justin Dean couldn’t stand the shine, and what did he do? He began to gaslight her, calling her out constantly, accusing her of dating a married man. When she held a memorial for her son on social media, he attacked her, accusing her of doing her b***s 🤦‍♀️. A man that went on to say that 2023, the year his son died, was the best year of his life.

Anyways, May recently won in court. She reclaimed what’s hers, including the house she built that the so-called husband had planned to bring another woman into 😒. The same woman people barely noticed became a force. A light. A success.

Sound familiar?

Just like Korra, who many now realize was the strength behind the shine. It took separation for people to see clearly. Just look at Korra’s achievements since her separation, from houses to her music career, name them. These women were never “just wives”—they were pillars, builders, the quiet force behind everything.

And when they left? The difference became obvious.

These men, like male Anglerfish that failed to attach themselves to a female host, began dragging them unprovoked.

Some men shine because of the women beside them. But instead of protecting that light, they dim it… take it for granted… until it’s gone.

And when it’s gone?
They try to hold on. They attack. They cling. Because deep down, they know they lost the very thing that made them.

Moral of the story:
If you are someone’s light and they treat you like darkness… gather your strength and walk away.

Because sometimes, you don’t truly know your worth until you leave
and they don’t know what they lost… until you’re gone.

🇳🇬🇬🇧 A moment of quiet diplomacy and cultural exchange.

During the Nigerian State Visit to the United Kingdom, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu were received at Windsor Castle, where they viewed a curated selection of historic artefacts from the Royal Collection inside the Green Drawing Room.

The display offered a glimpse into centuries of British royal history, reflecting the long-standing ties between both nations while reinforcing the importance of heritage, dialogue, and mutual respect in modern international relations.

I’m just coming from English Alhaji’s page and the update is that Abba the kidnapped corp member is still in captivity despite all attempts by the family and concerned Nigerians to get him released.
Here’s the full update incase you missed it.

1. Abba is a corp member that was kidnapped by bandits while in active service to his country, they recorded while they flogged him mercilessly and posted on social media.

2. When the finally made contact with his family, they requested for 50million naira but after negotiations they finally agreed to accept 10million naira.

3. His family couldn’t raise the money but concerned Nigerians came through English Alhaji and raised the ransom which was taken to the kidnappers in broad daylight.

4. After they collected the ransom money, the changed the terms of agreements and insisted that the family brings three brand new motorcycles, unfortunately the family couldn’t afford it.

5. The bandits even took pictures of themselves with the 10million naira ransom money they collected and posted it on social media with their faces in full display

6. Few days later, communications seized with Abba, all efforts to reach out to them proved abortive.

7. The family made up their minds to count their losses and hold a funeral service for their son whom they assumed was already killed by the bandits. This was also in line with their Islamic customs and traditions.

8. Few hours after the funeral a the bandits released a video of Abba as proof of life, in the video Abba appealed to Nigerians that to still come to his rescue as the bandits had already assured him that he’ll be released when If the motorcycles are delivered as requested.

9. Bear in mind that English Alhaji and the family has already reported the case to the Nigerian Police and the DSS.

10. English Alhaji during his interview with News Central said they already given the DSS the location of the bandits, he added that there was a military checkpoint close to their location but nothing was done about it

11. The family engaged the kidnappers in another round of negotiations and they finally settled on two brand new motorcycles as against the initial three requested, they were very particular about the brand of motorcycles they wanted.

12. Abba’s family ran around and raised two million naira and added to the 1.5million naira they got from the total initial donations (11.5million naira)

13. They purchased the specified brand new motorcycles and delivered to the same location.

14. After they took delivery of the motorcycles they said they would not be releasing Abba because the man in charge was not aware of the change in agreement, meaning that would have to deliver another motorcycle before Abba is released.

15. The bandits took pictures of the new delivered motorcycles and posted on social media again

16In all this the Nigerian government has not released any statement, The Nigerian Police and DSS still hasn’t taken any action, they know the location of Abba but they’ve not made any move on those terrorists.

17. The Islamic community are still staging protests about the war in Iran, they’re not even concerned about their brother in captivity.

Brethren, please stay safe and defend yourselves when the need be, your government doesn’t care about you
The way I seee this kidnapping thing in Nigeria, I think it’s another form of money laundering by the creme la creme.
How can there be military checkpoint close to kidnappers den please?😭😭😭😭

Shame on the Nigerian government.

I am not even disappointed

It is with deep sadness that we mourn the passing of Kingsley Kenechukwu, a Nigerian who died yesterday in the UK at just 35 years old.
Kingsley graduated from the University of Salford in 2024, but his journey was not an easy one. Before his graduation, he had already gone through brain surgery, yet he remained strong and determined to build a better life for his family.
He leaves behind his young wife and their one-year-old child. Sadly, his wife does not yet have a permanent job and the family is still on a post-study visa, facing an uncertain future in a foreign land.
Today, a child has lost a father and a wife has lost her partner far too soon.

May God comfort his family and grant Kingsley Kenechukwu eternal rest.

What a life...!
What a tragedy!.
The late former Comptroller General of Immigration David Parradang, could have died of heart attack or exhaustion as you can see, he died seated on a chair. There is no proof here that he had any sexual encounter with the lady, who has been declared wanted by the police.

The said lady left his hotel room same day at 4pm according to the hotel and the late CG was discovered the next day when his friend couldn’t reach him and traced him to the hotel, according to the FCT police.

There is need to do an autopsy to determine what actually happened and the lady should come forward to explain her last encounter with him.
May his family find consolation in the lord,🙏

Kemi is not joking.

She says she will lend her conservative MPs to Labour to pass the intended immigration changes—which will see Health & Care workers already in the U.K. obtaining ILR in 15 years and others 20 or 30 years.

What do you think?
