Did you know food banks provide more than food? 🤔

Many food banks also provide advice on money matters and connect people to practical support to make it less likely they’ll need to turn to a food bank again.

Plus, staff and volunteers are always there for a cuppa and a chat when people are going through tough times.

This extra support can make all the difference. 💚

Our wonderful team of volunteers from Newport & District Foodbank have been at Morrisons today, asking customers to donate food items. A special Thank you to Natalie the Community Champion for making us so welcome. Thank you too to everyone who donated a tin or packet. We couldn't operate the foodbank without you! We are ending hunger together!

Keep at eye out for us tomorrow too! (Friday 10th Jul)

We have plenty of dog food (no bones) at Newport & District Foodbank but otherwise the shelves are emptying very fast and we're starting to feel a bit like Old Mother Hubbard!

There are so many people in Newport who need our emergency food parcels and we would hate to have to turn them away, so can you help by donating food?

We have no coffee, squash, fruit juice or tinned tomatoes.

We're running low on almost everything else too......

Tinned meat,
Tinned fish
Tinned fruit
Tinned spahetti
Rice
Beans
Pasta
Packet rice/noodles/pasta
UHT Milk
Soup
Pasta sauce
Rice pudding
Custard
Jam

We still have plenty of tea and biscuits!

You can drop off at the Community Centre or to one of our donation points in Asda (Duffryn), Tesco's (Spytty & Cardiff Rd) or Sainsburys( Albany Street)
