Got a gas boiler?
When was the last time it was serviced?
In rented accommodation this happens yearly but in private homes there is no obligation to service your gas boiler.
Treat it the same as an MOT, it is a well worth investment in keeping your boiler running as efficiently as possible and extending it's lifespan.
We can't recommend any particular gas engineers but this film gives you a good idea of what should happen on a service and why.

💚 October's Most Needed Items 💚

As we head into October, we’re incredibly grateful for the continued kindness and support of our local community.

Every week, generous donations from people across the Island help us provide essential food and toiletries to local people who need a little extra support.

Here are the items we’re particularly short of this month:

🍝 Tinned spaghetti
🍅 Tinned tomatoes
🥛 Long-life / UHT milk
🥣 Soup
🥫 Tinned meat meals
🍮 Custard
🫧 Shaving gel / foam
🧴 Shampoo
🧺 Laundry tablets / powder
🌸 Female deodorant

🛒 Next time you're doing your supermarket shop, could you add one or two of these items to your basket or trolley? Even a small donation can make a real difference.

You can drop your donations into a foodbank collection point at participating supermarkets across the Island.

📍 Find your nearest collection point:

📲 Want to know what we need each time you shop?

And don't forget Isle of Wight Radio's 10,000 Tins Campaign is still underway! 🥫💚

10,000 tins is a big target — but when people across the Island each give a little, together we can make a huge difference.

Thank you for supporting your local foodbank and standing alongside people in our community. 💚
