We adopt a non-violent direct action approach and will do all we can to stop an animal being killed. We will use diversionary tactics to put the hounds off the scent, such as horn calls, the gizmo recording of hounds in cry to draw them away, citronella spraying to mask the scent and if needs be put ourselves between the hounds and fox. Hunting wild mammals with a pack of dogs has been against the

law since 2005. The reality is the hunts use loopholes in the law and smokescreens, such as trail hunting, to continue with the vile practice of hunting and killing foxes for pleasure. If you have any helpful information, please either email, send a private message or call, all contact will be treated with the strictest confidence. Also, you can make a donation to help with our running costs, every penny will go towards protecting our amazing wildlife. http://paypal.me/TheWightHuntSabsGB

Christopher James “CJ” Mills, 37 denied charges of possessing extreme animal po*******hy. Bournemouth Magistrates court heard this week that police allegedly found videos showing s*x with a live chicken and a trout.

Mills who is already subject to a CBO following an assault and theft on a 70-year old man during a meet of the BSV Hunt in October 2023 in the Sherbourne area. Mills is not to attend any location where there is a hunt taking place, whether that be pre-planned, informal or organised. He also cannot attend, loiter or knowingly be within 1km of any hunt activity. His trial is scheduled for Thursday 1st October in Bournemouth Crown Court.

Shane Cooper, 35 is charged with possessing extreme animal po*******hy, allegedly showing s*x with a dog, horse or donkey. He is further charged, along with Mark Cooper, 30 of causing unnecessary suffering to an animal during an incident in November 2023 where a fox was stabbed.

Shane Cooper did not attend his hearing as he was on holiday and his case has been adjourned.

Both men are also associated with the South Dorset Hunt, as well as the BSV Hunt.

As well as this, stag hunting is also in full swing in the West Country and hare hunts will be out targeting leverets - training hounds on young hares. Grouse shoots are underway, and the partridge shooting season has also began - once again the autumn signals the start of our wildlife taking a battering from all manner of wildlife abusers.

Now more than ever sabs need your support to keep them on the road and in the fields. Become a member of the HSA for just £20 a year and receive our excellent animal rights magazine “HOWL”.

In 2004, just weeks before the Hunting Act came into force, Headmaster Dr Anthony Wallersteiner of the Stowe School was reported in The Times as saying:

“On no account, however, will we be breaking the law…We have to teach good citizenship and obedience to the law.”

Twenty-three years on, Wallersteiner remains Headmaster, while Stowe “games coach” Philip Kennedy has been convicted of illegal hunting during a “PE lesson”.

In November 2025, pupils were filmed hunting beagles onto a hare, with drone footage capturing the animal being chased through Crockwell Farm before crashing into a fence and being torn apart by the hounds.

The footage exposes a well-rehearsed practice that has been taking place beyond public scrutiny for years.

We will soon be asking our supporters to help us shut down the Stowe School Beagles.

In March 2023 sabs from Cirencester Hunt Watch and Three Counties Hunt Sabs made a horrifying discovery while sabbing the Cotswold Hunt. A lactating vixen had been tied up in a bag and buried alive in an artificial earth.

This took place on the Miserden Estate, owned by Nicholas Wills, who, once the discovery was exposed and reported on by Channel 4, prohibited the hunt from accessing his land. However, on Saturday 29th August, the Cotswold Hunt were back, with the intention of cub hunting on this very land.

They met at Gaskill Farm, the same place where 3 years ago sabs filmed terrier men saying, “Get the sack, it’s evidence and the fox was kept at your place”. Saturday also saw the return of Mr M R Little Esq, a hunt master who received a 2-year mastership ban from the British Hound Sports Association (BHSA).

It seems the Cotswold Hunt and Nicholas Wills think enough time has passed and the business of illegal fox hunting can resume on this land, but we will never forget.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹'𝘀 '𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵' 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗮 𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱.

Too late...

The drone had already captured footage of what happened at Crockwell Farm on 13 November 2025, when Philip Kennedy, kennel huntsman of the Stowe School Beagles and 'games coach' at Stowe School, was involved in the pursuit and killing of a hare. Kennedy subsequently pleaded guilty at Norhampton Magistrates' Court to illegally hunting a wild mammal with dogs.

The HSA has obtained the full drone footage, which includes the build-up to the kill. Kennedy congratulates the students as the hare is torn apart.

See for yourself...the evidence shows not simply the moment an offence occurs, but the actions of an organised hunt before, during and after the killing.

We will soon be asking our supporters to take action to help us shut down the Stowe School Beagles. The video leaves us in no doubt this is not a one-off, and school children are regulaly being encouraged by their school teachers to commit wildlife crime.

Watch our socials over the coming days to see how you can help. You can view the video and read more here 👉 https://www.huntsabs.org.uk/shut-down-the-stowe-school-beagles/
