Our next meeting will be on Tuesday 7th May at the Swan Revived Hotel in Newport Pagnell. Our speaker will be David Pibworth. The presentation will be titled....."The Comedy Greats on Radio - from Hancock to Dad's Army".

We start meeting at 12.15 for our two course meal at 12.30. The presentation will follow the meal.

SPECIAL NOTE:- Our next meeting of the Newport Pagnell Probus Club will be on Tuesday April 9th.....NOTE April 9th. {This is because the first Tuesday in April is the day after Easter Monday}.

The speaker will be Graham Evans who will talk about - The Monstrous Regiment ~ stories of cross-dressing cavaliers and transvestite troopers in the 18th century.

Long before the modern debate about whether women should serve in the front line, some joined up anyway disguised as men. Graham Evans looks at some of their amazing stories, as we find out why they joined up, where they fought and how they did, and did not escape detection.

Our next meeting will be on March 5th at the normal venue of the Swan Revived Hotel in Newport Pagnell High Street.
The presentation will be given by Evan Willison who will be talking about ‘Auction Room Anecdotes’ ~ A humorous slant on the Auctions industry. Evan was the sales floor Manager with Charlie Ross auctions.

Special Note:- The meeting on March 5th will also be our AGM, where you can 'have your say'. The AGM starts at 11.30, prior to lunch, which will be followed by the presentation.

Happy New Year to all of the Newport Pagnell Probus Members. Our first meeting of 2024 will be on Tuesday February 6th at the usual location of The Swan Revived Hotel in Newport Pagnell High Street.
The presentation at this meeting will be given by Chris Bylett, the title is ~ A Man who’s paid to talk to himself’. An informative and highly entertaining insight into the life of a professional ventriloquist (As seen on TV!).
SPECIAL NOTE:- The AGM will not be held at this meeting! The AGM will be held on March 5th. More details to follow.
