Kingfisher Park, Newport Pagnell MK16 0JR

This park is just over half an hour away from Northampton and the most accessible one we've ever been to.

It was an absolutely fantastic day!

There's lots of fun play equipment, and a lot of it is accessible for wheelchair users as well.

Wheelchair swing - (You will need to bring a radar key to open the gate to the swing, access the restraints and unlock the swing from the floor. There's instructions on the ramp door of the swing.)

Wheelchair trampoline
Wheelchair roundabout
Nest swing
Flower talking tubes
Musical chimes

There's a pub right nextdoor that also has a gluten free menu and there's a Tesco express.

We had such a lovely time and we will definitely be back soon.

Today at our performing arts group we had a visit from The Silent Disco Project for an awesome silent disco to celebrate our friends 18th birthday.

We had so much fun!

We believe silent discos are a perfect party option for people with sensory differences as the music comes through headphones that you can take off whenever you want to have some quiet time and you can adjust the volume on your headphones to suit your preference. You can also switch between three different music channels and request songs, so there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Boombastic events come to you, wherever your party is, which is another fantastic perk.

We've hired them quite a few times now and they are excellent at getting everyone involved, wether you're like Stephen and Jake who love to dance like nobody's watching, or like me (Ebony-Mae) who prefers to sit and chill while listening to the music through the headphones. We always have a brilliant time.

Image description: Three people infront of a light blue wall with wooden double doors in the middle, behind them and pink disco lights dotted around the room.

The white male standing on the left is in his early twenties and has dark brown hair. He is wearing a black and white striped long sleeve top, with blue jogging bottoms and black headphones with a green light on the ears of them.

The white male in the red and black wheelchair is in his late twenties. He has dark brown hair and is wearing a brown jumper and black headphones with a green light on the ears of them.

The white female in her early twenties on the right has light brown hair and is wearing a checked grey and pink jacket and a blue dress with a daisy print on. She has on black headphones with a red light on the ears.

How to write A,B and C in Braille on a brailling machine.

Image description: Two people sitting on a bed with a white duvet cover that has a rainbow butterfly pattern on. They are using a red brailler.

The man talks through how to use a braille machine while the woman videos him.

From the left to right the keys are the enter key which moves down the page, then dot three, dot two, dot one, next to this, in the middle, is the space bar, then dot four, dot five, dot six and the last key is a backspace.

After the man has given the demonstration he shows the paper which now has braille on it. He then shows the different braille letters that he has typed out on the paper.

Letter A, which is just a dot one. This looks and feels like one raised dot on the left side at the top.

Letter B, which uses dot one and dot two. This looks and feels like two dots on the left side going down.

Letter C, which uses dot one and dot four. This looks and feels like two dots at the top going across.

On Wednesday at our day centre Broomhall's Day Care Provision we all wore odd socks in support of World Down Syndrome Day 2025.

Here are some of the photos we took.

She also has on one blue sock and one yellow sock both with large white heart details on and a white toe and heal.

The male and female sitting on the floor both have one leg bent and resting on the man in the middles wheelchair footrest and the other stretched out meeting in the middle touching eachother with their feet to make a heart shape with their legs.

In the middle of the heart shape made with their legs is text reading World Down Syndrome Day 2025.

On the bottom left side of the image is a dark blue and yellow Down Syndrome ribbon that has Down Syndrome written in white on the front dark blue part of the ribbon going upwards.

Next to the Down Syndrome ribbon is some white text that reads, showing off our odd socks to support our friends with Down Syndrome.

Image 3 - image three has a dark blue background with a head shot of the back of the females head who is in the other images, showing her World Down Syndrome Day hairstyle.

Her hair is in a half up half down hairstyle and she has light blue and yellow ribbons tied around the part of her hair that is up. She also has three sunflower clips Infront of the tied up part of her hair and three silver butterfly clips Infront of the sunflowers.

Above her head is some white text that says just like sunflowers every person grows and blooms uniquely.

Hi, it's Ebony-Mae.

I have a question for you all. Do you have an internal monologue? Specifically, can you hear your thoughts in your own voice?

Please let me know in the comments.

Thank you.

Hi, it's Jake.

Here's an awesome video of me doing indoor skydiving, showing that just because I use a wheelchair, it doesn't mean that I can't enjoy the same things as everyone else.

Video description: White male in dark blue overalls and a red helmet, laying horizontally on his front, being held on each side by two white females who are both wearing red overalls and dark blue helmets. They are moving around in a white wind tunnel, with the instructors standing on a white net. There's a viewing window where his friends are watching. Underneath the viewing window, on a dark blue background it says in white text "iflyworld.co.uk".

At the end of the video is an image of a white male in a dark blue jumper, sitting in a red and grey wheelchair, with a black headrest and black over the shoulder, cross body straps. Tucked into the left strap is a blue IFly the dream of flight certificate. The background is plain light pink.

Hi my name is Jake, I'm 29 and I love Elvis.

I also love dancing and singing duets with my friends and family. I love a glass of red wine and I'm a bit of a chocoholic. I love my food - especially a curry from my local curry house.

I'm a wheelchair user with CP and I have a stoma, but that doesn't stop me from doing what I love to do in my day to day life.

I've been paragliding in France three times, and I've been indoor skydiving twice. I'm a bit of an adrenaline ju**ie and next on my list is rock climbing.

Hi, it's Ebony-Mae.

I wanted to share with you a song that I wrote about living with hidden disabilities and how they can severely affect your mental health.

Here is my original song "You Don't Know"

Image description: a torn piece of paper with a sketch of a young girl with a long sleeved striped top and long hair, sitting on the floor of a dark room with her head against her knees, looking sad. A fire animation is over the piece of paper with the sketch on, to make it look like she is trapped. The background behind the paper with the sketch on is plain black. The title of the song "You Don't Know" is written on the bottom of the image over the fire animation in white text.

Hi guys it's Stephen. Sorry we have been a bit quiet this week. Hope you're all okay.

I've made a small video showing another piece of equipment that helps me out in the kitchen.

I hope you like it.

Video description: White male in his early twenties with short dark brown hair, wearing a blue and black raincoat with a pocket on the top left of his coat that has a yellow zip.

He is standing in his kitchen with a beige background and a bright white light shining through on the right side. There's a tall green spider plant on the left, behind him.

He first shows a large white talking measuring jug and talks you through where the buttons are on it what they do.

Then he pours water out of a large pale green kettle into the talking measuring jug and it tells him how much he is putting in there.

Hi, it's Stephen. Have you all had a good weekend?

I've created this video to show you one of the pieces of equipment that I use to help me with day to day life.

I hope you enjoy!

Video description: White male in his early twenties with short dark brown hair, wearing a black tracksuit jacket. Sitting Infront of a blue blind that is about three quarters of the way down and has sunlight shining through the bottom of it. On the left side there is a grey head board that has a black t-shirt hanging from it. The pen friend is black with yellow buttons. The CD is white with a clear plastic envelope case.
