END OF SUMMER HOLIDAY

We hope everyone has been having a lovely summer. The heat has been difficult for many, so it has been nice to see those who have been able to continue to visit us during the past few weeks, for Knit & Natter, walking, Youth sessions or just for a cuppa and a chat.

As normal, Chillout (both Community Cafe and Youth sessions) will be closing for the final week of the summer holidays and returning in September.

We will be closing after our Youth session on Thursday 20th August (18:00-21:00) and, due to the August Bank Holiday being later than normal, our first session back will be our Youth session on Wednesday 2nd September 18:00-20:00.

Community Cafe will be back on Thursday 3rd September from 10:00-13:30.

We look forward to seeing you, and thank you all for your continued support.

FLAGS, CAKES AND THANKS

Thank you to those who attended the Community Cafe following the Armed Forces Flag Raising event this morning, and special thanks to Julia Gooch for providing cakes for the attendees to enjoy with their choice of drink. It was a bit of a warm one, but a very well attended event - and I’m sure the young people that attend Youth Club this evening will enjoy the remaining cake as much as the morning attendees and our lovely Knit & Natter group were able to.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

8 years ago today the Community Cafe opened its doors.

Many thanks to everyone who has supported us over this time and helped us continue what we have been able to do within the community. We have been fortunate enough to get to know some very lovely people.

We appreciate every person who has been in and visited us, be it for Knit & Natter, walking group, community lunch, people who come in for a cuppa, a chat or game of pool, some advice on anything from buses to tech, or recommendations on groups in town or whatever other reasons.

Please continue to support us and help us support you all. We look forward to seeing you.

SEE YOU NEXT YEAR

So, today saw the last Community Cafe session of 2025, with our lovely Knit & Natter ladies once again enjoying a chat and a cuppa with a nice relaxing knit, today to the sounds of Christmas music.

We have now broken up for the festive period and would like to thank every one of you for your support over this year.

Whatever the reason you come to see us, be it Knit & Natter, Walking group, Pizza making, Community Lunch, Youth Groups, just to sit and wait for a bus, duck out of the rain or for a chat/joke/singalong and a cuppa, or just to randomly pop in, we appreciate every single bit of support you provide to us, and we hope that we have been a place where you have felt valued and comfortable.

We look forward to seeing you all in the New Year when we return on 5th January and wish you all a very Merry Christmas. Thank you all for your continued support.

CHRISTMAS RAFFLE

Once again, our wonderful friends at HCR Law in Ross-on-Wye are continuing fundraising efforts for Chillout, this time with a rather tasty raffle.

For £5 a ticket, you have the chance to win a lovely Christmas Hamper, and, of course help raise funds at the same time, that allow us to continue our activities at Chillout.

For all entries, you will need to go to the attached JustGiving link and follow the instructions on that page, and will need to be able to collect your prize from Ross-on-Wye on Thursday 18th December 2025.

Once again, all of us at Chillout appreciate the support of everyone and are extremely grateful to the lovely people at HCR Law in Ross for everything they have been arranging/doing for us as their chosen charity this year.
