Autumn really feels to have arrived and with it a new scouting term.
Our trustee chair and GLV Matt has resigned. We are sorry to see him go and wish him well. We continue to have a committed team of volunteer leaders and the support of the district to take our programmes forward.
Scouts and cubs are already be aware of restarting next week. We are excited to see you back in the hut. We will be contacting all parents of squirrels and beaver age children over email/ OSM with our new session details. We hope to welcome new members from the waitlist in the coming weeks.
As always more hands make light work so please get in touch if you have any interest in being a parent helper, leader or trustee. Training and support will be provided for the role and commitment will vary based on what are works for you.
If you can help then get in touch via Facebook, with any of the leaders or email [email protected]

THANK YOU to anyone who has helped support 1st Newent scouts over the last couple of years with our fundraising efforts for a trip to Switzerland. The scouts had an amazing time, unforgettable memories were made, international friendships forged and new activities were taken head on.
The team are planning the next one

Tonight to end the term the scouts visited . They loved the jokes, were amazed by the acrobats and generally loved it.
They all appreciate how hard the unicycle is after trying themselves in the scout hut so the gasp at the unicycle tricks was audible.
I suspect many of our scouts are planning to run away with the circus now if you need some more clowns
