Today the scouts are running archery and beat the goalie in the newent spring fayre. We would love to see you there.
We are also selling raffle tickets. Draw to be made on 27th march so plenty of time to buy tickets. We will share the prizes later today or come along to the stall to see in person. Ask our scouts about their trip to the fire station, scuba diving and in the summer their trip to Switzerland!

Tonight the scouts are visiting the fire station. Wow! I don't know who is in the suit but that's intense

Many thanks to The Kings Arms Newent for hosting the 1st Newent scout section leaders meeting with district last night. The group is building in strength and activity.
If you can help us continue to build then please get in touch. We always welcome any volunteers and will find a use for any strengths and talents you can share with us

Just incase you needed some research evidence to tell you that you should get involved with scouts
Get in touch, you're always welcome whether a young person or an adult wanting to volunteer

People who were in the scouts or guides in childhood have better mental health in later life, a study suggests.

Starry sky's for an night-time hike by our scouts last night.
Apparently they had on so many layers they were too warm despite the chilly weather ⚜️⚜️

Our cubs section had a great evening last week. They lit their own fire with flint and steel and toasted marshmallows to make smores.
Pictures say more than words it's hard to argue with those smiles.

We have some exciting news, we’re so close to re-opening our Beavers section! Thanks to a few wonderful volunteers who’ve already stepped forward, we’re just two more adult volunteers away from welcoming your children into the fun, adventure, and friendship that Beavers offers.

No experience? No problem! All you need is enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved. Full training and support are provided, and you’ll be joining a friendly, committed team who make Scouting possible for local young people.

Our Beavers usually meet on Tuesdays from 5:45 to 7:00 pm, though we can be flexible with timings to suit the new team.

If you’d like to know more or think you could help (even just to share a role), please get in touch.

With your help, we can open our doors again and give the waiting list of eager young Beavers the adventure they’ve been waiting for!
