Newcastle Round Table is proud to celebrate an incredible milestone in 2026 – the 50th anniversary of hosting our annual Fireworks Extravaganza at Gosforth Sports Association!

Taking place on Saturday 7th November 2026, this landmark event promises to be our biggest and best display yet. As always, every penny raised goes directly back into supporting local charities, community groups and organisations across the North East.

We're looking for local businesses and organisations to partner with us as event sponsors and help make this special anniversary event even more spectacular.

Mystery Pub Night & New Member Induction 🍻

Last night, Newcastle Round Table gathered at The Hancock Pub for our latest Mystery Pub Night. With a few laid-back pints in hand and the England vs Costa Rica friendly playing in the background, it was the perfect setting to catch up, share some laughs, and enjoy a relaxed evening together.

The highlight of the night was the induction of Reece as the newest member of Newcastle Round Table.

Reece first came along to our New Members Night at NQ64 after some encouragement from his wife, who suggested Round Table as a great way for him to get out of the house, meet new people, and expand his social circle. Since then, he has thrown himself into Table life, attending a number of socials and even stepping up at our Fireworks planning meeting, where he happily volunteered to become our Chief Litter Picker!

We're delighted to officially welcome Reece to Newcastle Round Table and are excited to see the enthusiasm, ideas, and energy he will bring to the group.

For those who haven't heard of us, Newcastle Round Table is a social club for men aged 18-45, offering a fantastic mix of social events, activities, community projects, and lifelong friendships. Whether it's pub nights, sporting events, weekends away, fundraising, or simply getting together with a great group of lads, there's something for everyone.

Safe to say the competitiveness came out very quickly at our last social at … 👀

The lads took on 9 classic fairground games with a twist — from Hook-a-Duck and duck target shooting, to flinging ping pong balls into milk churns and battling it out down tin can alley. There may not have been any prizes, but bragging rights were definitely on the line 🏆😂

A cracking night full of laughs, friendly competition, and plenty of questionable aiming skills.

Mental Health Awareness Week runs from 11th–17th May, and this year we want to highlight something incredibly important - men’s mental health.

Too often, men feel pressure to “just get on with it”, stay quiet, or deal with things alone. But real strength comes from talking, connecting, and supporting each other.

Being part of Round Table is about far more than socials and events. It’s about friendship, community, and having a group of people around you who genuinely check in, listen, and support one another. Whether it’s sharing a laugh after a tough week, getting involved in something positive, or simply having mates you can talk to, those connections matter.

Round Table gives men the chance to build friendships, improve confidence, reduce isolation, and be part of something bigger than themselves — all of which can have a hugely positive impact on mental wellbeing.

If you have been a bit quiet recently, come and join us at Round Table. If someone else you know has been quiet, reach out to them and talk.

The Newcastle Round Table lads had a crackin' time at Junkyard Golf! It was the longest 27 holes ever, but full of laughs. Rory McIlroy can sleep easy! ⛳️

Newbie Michael was on fire initially, but Simon took the trophy! 🏌️‍♂️🥇
