Our CAST heroes of 2025/26.

The ones who turned up in the rain. The ones who remained positive. The ones who help people around the stadium, and raise vital funds for our programmes.

We gifted each CAST volunteer a Newcastle Red Bulls match shirt to say a huge thank you for being involved in our family this season.

Roll on 2026/27!

If you’d like to volunteer next season, head to the link in our bio. Everyone is welcome in this incredible community. 🀝

Know someone who keeps saying they should get out more, be a bit more active, or get back to a sport they used to love?

Maybe that person is you.

Walking Rugby is a great way to meet new people, have a laugh, and enjoy being active without the demands of the traditional game. Whether you played rugby years ago, have never picked up a ball before, or just fancy trying something different, there are so many sessions across the North East to choose from.

πŸ‰ No experience needed
πŸ‰ Friendly, welcoming sessions
πŸ‰ Great for physical and mental wellbeing
πŸ‰ Open to all abilities

Why not come along and see what it’s all about?

πŸ“§If you’d like more information, some guidance on how to get involved or simply someone to talk to about walking rugby, email our Health & Wellbeing Officer Pete, at [email protected]

Blessed with a visit from the best last week! 🐢

We would like to extend a big thank you to Dogs First for sponsoring this year’s Tyne Metropolitan College Tour T-shirts!

The guys & girls will wear navy and pink tops as they head to Salou next week on their annual rugby tour.

Having new kit is a great privilege, and it wouldn’t have been possible without Dogs First Animal Rescue whose team of volunteers carry out incredible work in rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming dogs across our region.

North East community supporting one another. Thank you! 🀝

A rugby ball is just the beginning.

Through our Learning Disability Rugby programme, we support people living with a wide range of learning, physical and sensory disabilities, creating opportunities to be active, build confidence and form meaningful friendships.

But the real impact goes far beyond the game.

For many, it’s a place where they feel understood, valued and empowered.

That sense of belonging starts with our coaches. Community Development Officer Stephen Parsons, who leads the programme, has experienced hearing challenges himself and understands first-hand the importance of creating environments where everyone feels included and supported.

Whether it’s the confidence to try something new, the chance to make lifelong friends, or simply having a place to belong every Monday evening, rugby is helping our participants achieve things they may never have thought possible.

πŸ‰ 1,393 participants engaged this season
🀝 82% have made new, long-lasting friendships
⭐ 91% report improved confidence

Because we are so much , we are a community where everyone belongs. πŸ’™

For Casey, it’s about so much .

Each Monday, she comes down to Kingston Park to play with her friends - and that gives her the confidence to show up in every day life.

Our LD sessions offer an inclusive space where individuals with learning difficulties can feel seen, welcomed and most importantly empowered. As a result, Casey has thrown herself into our Fit as a Bull programme too, making health and fitness a part of her lifestyle.

Casey, we’re proud of you! πŸ₯Ή

Creating core memories ✨

We invited some of our Sage Tackling Insights students to Kingston Park on Saturday for a special behind the scenes at matchday tour.

The day involved a speed test in the gym, and some data analysis on the pitch at half time.

Making STEM subjects cool again! πŸ“ˆ
