NEW Pre, During & Post Autism Diagnosis Parent Support Group starting in September 🌟

Whether you're just beginning to explore an autism assessment, waiting for a diagnosis, or navigating life after diagnosis, this new monthly group is here to support you.

Open to all parents and carers, regardless of where you live, the group at Gosforth Civic Theatre, offers a welcoming space to connect with other families, to share experiences and access information, practical advice and peer support.

Our first session will be an opportunity to take part in some self care and crafts activities before the return to school for parents, children and young people.
Join us on Tuesday 1st September from 1.30pm-3pm.

📍 Groups are held at Gosforth Civic Theatre, Regent Farm Road, Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE3 3HD.

Introducing Dads United!

We're excited to introduce Dads United! Our brand new group for dads, stepdads and male carers of autistic children, or children who may be autistic.

Whether you fancy a chat, a laugh, or simply spending time with people who just get it, Dads United is all about bringing people together in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

There's no pressure, no judgement, just good company, shared experiences and a supportive community to be part of.

The group will be facilitated by our Trustees, James Turner and Kevin Guthrie.

Thursday 10th September
6pm-9pm at Newcastle Greyhound Stadium, NE6 2XJ

The Beauty of Autistic Joy Webinar ✨

Join us on Friday 24th April from 9.30am-11am via Zoom for our brand new webinar all about autistic joy!

Join Lynda Richardson (Head of Operations) and Fiona Richards (Autism Hub Manager) for a warm and uplifting session exploring autistic joy, strengths, and deep interests.

For parents/carers of autistic children and young people, the autism diagnosis will usually have come as a direct result of looking at “deficits” that meet a specific criterion to receive this diagnosis. From the outside looking in, being autistic has often been viewed negatively in our society.

But what about the positive aspects of being autistic… and there are many if we just know how to recognise them. This webinar aims to take us all on a journey of positivity where we embrace the joys of being autistic, through lived experience of actually autistic children, young people and adults, as well as parents/ carers and those who work closely within the field of autism every day.
