Hi all, nothing tomorrow but next weekend we will be ending the holidays in style with academy sessions on the Friday and Sunday, then the Monday a bank holiday tourney involving kids and parents. Will share more later on 🎯

JDC VOLTS ARE COMING TO NEWCASTLE! ⚡️🎯

This isn't just another comp night - this is the real deal!

The JDC VOLT is the official tournament circuit for the Junior Darts Corporation - the youth arm of the PDC. This is where the future stars are made!

What is a VOLT?

🔵 17 & under, capped at 24 players - fast, fierce, no easy legs

🔵 £6 entry via DartsAtlas - you turn up to compete

And the prize? This is HUGE...

Every player who advances gets an invite to the JDC NATIONAL FINALS with a £6,000 prize pot! 💰

And the top 2?

You get to walk out and PLAY ON THE PDC WORLD GRAND PRIX STAGE! 🤯

Same stage. Same lights. Same crowd as the pros. This is how Luke Littler and all the big names started - VOLTS to victory.

We are bringing VOLT-level prep, qualifiers and tournament experience right here to Newcastle Darts Academy.

This will be an extra addition to everything we already offer at NDA.

Some of our players are ready for it right now, some will be ready in the very near future - and that's exactly what makes it so exciting.

"The Hurricane" couldn't keep away from the oche - darts outside in the sun by the pool!

He jumped into a little holiday comp with a group over from Lancashire who are all part of an academy, plus a couple of semi-pros thrown in... and Harry finished 5th!

Even better, he beat a couple of the semi-pros along the way so he was buzzing 💥

🎯 MONDAY NIGHT AT NDA 🎯

Another absolutely jam-packed Monday night at Newcastle Darts Academy!

With so many away on holiday and we are still pulling numbers like this - god knows what it's going to be like when everyone is back. Can't wait.

THE FORMAT

5 groups of 4 tonight, with the top 2 from each group progressing.

THROUGH TO THE KNOCKOUTS:

Group 1: Bailey & Connor
Group 2: Daniel & Leighton
Group 3: Jack & Alfie
Group 4: Callan & Caleb
Group 5: Denny & Sam

Quality all over the room 👏

KNOCKOUTS

We then had 5 knockout games which left us with a top 5: Callan, Daniel, Caleb, Connor & Denny.

With 5 left, we needed a bye. A 9-dart shootout sorted it - Callan took it and went straight through.

The other two games were won by Connor and Daniel.

AND THEN THERE WERE 3...

Rule is, if you got the bye last round, you can't get it this round. So Callan had to play.

Daniel and Connor had a 9-dart shootout to decide who secured a final spot. Daniel scored highest, so it was Callan vs Connor for a spot in the final against Daniel.

Connor flew out the blocks and took a 1-0 lead, Callan fought straight back to make it 1-1. At 1-1 Connor was just short on a huge finish to win it, but Callan held his nerve, took his chance, and booked his place in the final.

THE FINAL

Daniel Zuccarello v Callan Findlay

Two boys who know each well now. Daniel beat Cal in the final a couple of weeks ago, Cal got his revenge last week in the knockouts - tonight it was Daniel's night again.

Two fantastic young players going toe-to-toe, but Daniel just had that extra edge and took it 2-0.

🏆 Winner: Daniel Zuccarello - £35
🥈 Runner-Up: Callan Findlay - £15

Well done to both lads - brilliant final.
