Young people in Newcastle upon Tyne can drop in and access services in Newcastle City Library Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday 10am–5pm. If you need to speak to an adviser, you can contact us Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0191 277 1944 or email us at [email protected].

Introducing Nook Safe Haven 💙

Nook is a new mental health Safe Haven for children and young people across Newcastle and Gateshead.

Open every day from 4pm to 8pm, Nook offers a safe, welcoming space for young people aged 13-17 years (18 if in education) to access support when they need it most.

There are no referrals, appointments or waiting lists. Young people can drop in, book an online chat, or arrange a telephone call with the team.

EuroPeers opportunity: Training Course in London

EuroPeers are inviting all new EuroPeers to a 3-day training and planning course in central London! This is your chance to become one of the first leaders of EuroPeers UK.

Dates: 30th August - 2nd September 2026
Accommodation and breakfast will be provided (free) for those who need it. The course also includes two lunches and one dinner (final night). You’ll need to pay for your own travel and two evening meals.

Eligibility: you have to be over 18 to attend this course.

How to apply: simply register as a member of EuroPeers UK. We will then send you full information about the course.

Please note that places are limited so we can’t promise to include everyone. We want to make sure that as many different regions and communities across the UK are represented.
