Last week, we were delighted to receive an honour from Peru's Ministry of the Environment (El MINAM - Ministerio del Ambiente - Perú) at the International Forum of Green Financing.

Shared Interest Lending Manager, Bruno, received a beautiful glass Spatuletail Hummingbird during the ceremony: an extraordinary species native to the cloud forests of northern Peru, with a limited flying range of less than 70 miles and a tail consisting of just four feathers. ​

A fitting symbol of our natural wealth – and, as an endangered species, a reminder of our debt to the environment – the Spatuletail Hummingbird represents how every action counts. ​

This Sunday marks the end of and Newcastle’s first Fairtrade Trail 📍

If you’re in town, why not visit one or more of the locations on our Trail Map to be in with a chance of winning a fantastic selection of Fairtrade prizes from our friends at Zaytoun CIC, Liberation Foods, Ethiqana : Ethical - Artisanal - Original and The Co-op.

Do it Fair.
Zaytoun have really good products, so you benefit too, and as it says, nothing else is fair for the producers.
Their medjoul dates are delicious and their olive oil is so good that it wins prizes.
