We’re delighted to welcome author Ann Cleeves OBE as a North East Roots Ambassador.
Born in Herefordshire and raised in North Devon, Ann moved to the North East in the mid-1980s and has called the region home ever since. Its dramatic landscapes and rich heritage have inspired much of her work, most famously the beloved character Vera Stanhope.
Ann wants to see greater inward investment in the North East, creating more opportunities for people and communities to thrive.
