If you're a keen runner and/or simply love being outdoors and fancy supporting a local like-minded charity, then please consider supporting Tyneside Outdoors when applying for a place in 2027. The race passes the front door of our T O bike. shop in South Shields so you're sure of a great big cheer as pass by!

This is a bit early than previous years so we definitely have a few cobwebs to clear away. If you're interested in taking part pop in to T O bike. for a chat with staff. No need to have your own BMX, full face helmets or gloves, we can provide all that for you.

Here we go ......😀

Link for entering to be live tomorrow, its gonna be a blast

Quite a few near misses in Hodgkin Park tonight with the Frizbee, followed later by plenty of misses in the football, and a few goals too though!

What a lovely afternoon in Temple Park with this lot. It's great fun when you have a good size group like this.

We love helping young people to get active outdoors and it's great to see our work at our T O bike. shop is making a difference to children and young people in local charities and schools in South Tyneside.

The shop is a development of our Temple Raiders work. We needed somewhere local to Temple Memorial Park to do our bike repairs out of the rain and cold and to store our tools and spare bikes. It's now a great community resource helping local people stay active on their bikes.

Sadly, we missed the eclipse tonight due to cloud cover. This was the last we saw of the sun. We did however, get to fix a couple of bikes, play on the Slack Line and play some Tennis and Badminton.

It was nice to meet up again with Ian, and his wife, from Tyneside Rotary Newcastle as they paid a visit to our TO Bike shop in South Shields.

Tyneside Rotary Newcastle supported our young people to take part in 's Race Around The Region last winter and also helped to buy some new BMX racing helmets for the team. We hope to be joining in the fun again this winter with some new members and maybe win a few more medals, and hopefully a trophy or 2!

Time for a cuppa? Well, if you've got time, then maybe you might also like to consider helping TO out, quite literally!

As a charity that aims to help people in disadvantaged areas of Tyneside to access and enjoy the outdoors, we're always in need of support. In particular, we're really keen to recruit some new trustees to help us take advantage of our current opportunities and help us to create new ones. If you have skills and experience in finance, business, marketing, youth and community work, education, social work, or a range of outdoor careers, then you'll be a great asset to our charity. We have a range of volunteer roles on our website https://www.tynesideoutdoors.org.uk/volunteering
