🌿 More from the Sanctuary Forum
Here are a few more photos from last week’s Sanctuary Forum at the Civic Centre, where our Cultivating Solidarity Advisors shared the work they’ve been doing🧡

This includes our Schools of Sanctuary sessions, where visiting school groups explore what “welcome” can look like in a natural setting — through language, creativity, teamwork and time outdoors.

30 miles for 30 years👣

As we get ready for Saturday’s walk, we’ve been thinking about what we hope to notice along the way. Birdsong. Trees we’ve passed a hundred times. Wildflowers in the verge. A quiet moment between busy days.

If you’re out for a walk this week, show us something that made you pause.

Sponsor our amazing staff and volunteer walkers, see useful links in our bio.

🌿 Tucking In the Broccoli
This week our staff and volunteers took on the challenge of netting the purple sprouting broccoli to keep the pigeons off.

What should have been a quick job, turned into a slightly comical battle of wills between humans, netting and stakes — but with plenty of teamwork (and a lot of laughter), the broccoli is now safely protected and the pigeons will have to look elsewhere for lunch.

Huge thanks to everyone who got stuck inđź’šđź’Ş

As part of , our Cultivating Solidarity Advisors spoke today at the Sanctuary Forum at the Civic Centre, sharing their experiences and the creative work they’ve been developing through the Cultivating Solidarity project.

Their work includes our Schools of Sanctuary sessions, where visiting school groups explore what “welcome” looks and feels like in our beautiful natural setting — from learning phrases in different languages to creating decorations from natural materials and building empathy through teamwork.
