Summer Holidays in full swing 💥💜

Always good to catch up with Hufty and the team at West End Women and Girls! They never stop at that place! Yesterday when I called by they were busy hosting a picnic in the park for local families. 💜

They really do have loads going on over the summer holidays supporting women and children - and are a crucial hub for the surrounding community. Youth groups, community gardens, a farm in Northumberland, peer education programmes and endless campaigning - and they do all this alongside the specialist support they offer to women who have experienced domestic abuse.

Our Supporting Victims Programme has been funding their Safe 4 Life domestic abuse recovery course for five years now - and I'm grateful for all their work supporting safer streets and stronger communities.

Also, plenty of great insights to feed into my Police and Crime Plan refresh and I hope to be back soon to speak to others.👍

Women’s cooking this morning made the freshest, warmest, nicest chocolate chip cookies 🍪 This batch worked out only about 25p a cookie!
