We couldn’t let today go by without getting the Sunderland map back out…

For anyone who didn’t know, You Are Here: Sunderland was our original city trail, built from the stories, memories, music, scran and tiny bits of local magic shared by the people who call Sunderland home.

From pink slices and panackelty in Sunderland to stotties in Newcastle, the idea behind our You Are Here trails is pretty simple: a city told by its people.

Hundreds of Mackems helped us make this one, including the brilliant Sunderland Youth Council, and , with support from .

We’ve been down a Hoppings-shaped rabbit hole this weekend for You Are Here: NOVUM, unearthing archive photos and collecting people’s memories.

The Six Twenty are creating You Are Here: NOVUM, a brand-new audio trail popping up across Newcastle city centre as part of , and they're looking for your memories, stories and favourite city spots to help shape it.

Whether you've lived in Newcastle all your life or made it your home more recently, they'd love to hear what makes this city special to you.

Drop in and:

This drop in session is relaxed, creative and informal - stay for five minutes or an hour, take part as much or as little as you like.

Created by North East theatre company The Six Twenty for , You Are Here: NOVUM is a FREE hour-long audio experience that transforms Newcastle city centre into a living map of stories, shaped by the voices of the people who know it best.

Setting off in a small group, you'll follow a trail through familiar streets as storytelling, sound and live encounters reveal the hidden voices, memories and moments that have shaped the city. Along the way, everyday spaces take on new meaning, inviting you to look closer and discover something unexpected.

Part performance, part exploration, and part love letter to Newcastle, this is your chance to experience the city from a whole new perspective.
