Our favourite bar and good friends Prohibition Cabaret Bar have a great opportunity for local businesses. Please help spread the word!

Are you a local business either in or have an interest in the arts? Do you want to support your local arts and live performance scene? Do you want to help another local business and award-winning community hub provide a space for emerging and established performers?
You do?! Well then, our famous "Jar on the Bar" programme needs you!
Jar on the Bar is our way of showcasing local, regional, national and even international artists and performers: for 10 years, we have provided FREE live entertainment at Prohibition Cabaret Bar, never charging entry prices, just asking audiences to pay what they feel. Originally only Friday and Saturday nights, this has proved so popular that we are now booked out until July and have had to extend into Thursdays and Sunday evenings too!
We always start the (literal) Jar on the Bar with an upfront set fee to ensure the act at least has their basic expenses covered, the rest is donations and tips from the audience for an evening of excellent entertainment. We never take a cut; it all goes to the artists and performers.
Now we are looking for monthly sponsors for our Friday and Saturday night Jar on the Bar performances and to help us maintain our core mission of providing a space to entertain the people, ALL the people, no matter their financial status. We are first and foremost an accessible and inclusive space, for artists and audiences alike. Always have been, always will be.
In 10 years, we have featured hundreds and hundreds of acts from the world over; we've seen it all and through our Jar on the Bar bookings so have you! Help us to sustain this space and uphold our core principal for another 10 years and beyond.
We're open to suggestions - if you'd like to sponsor for a month, three months, or six months, come and talk to us or drop us a line. You'll get the usual deal in terms of mentions and logos online, socials and on the premises. Most of all, you get to champion artists and performers at one of the most successful independent cabaret bars outside London (that's us!)
