Denton Youth and Community Project Our mission is to deliver high quality sustainable support services in our area, including youth work and community activities for all age groups

DentonYouth & Community Project has been in Denton since 2000 working within the community to offer a range of services and activities. We are based on Hillhead Road, and serve amongst other things, as a drop in for people to access information and advice on a range of issues. Although DYCP has a focus on Young People we do provide activities for all age groups and aim to bring generations togethe

r across the area. The project offers a weekly programme during term time and exciting holiday programmes during the summer and during other holiday periods.

Hi! For those who don’t know me, I’m Pauline – mum to Theo (aka Sara’s co-boss… you’ll know him 😄) and Evie, who is much more low-key (clearly takes after me!).

I’m also a trustee at Denton Youth & Community Project (very official title for a volunteer role), and I’m genuinely passionate about what they do for all our families and the wider community.

Right… here comes the begging part 👀

We’re putting together a fundraiser for our amazing youth and community group and we need raffle prizes 🎟️

We’ve already had a ridiculously good start (I’m not even exaggerating… it’s shaping up to be a VERY good raffle), but I want to make it even bigger and better.

If you know any local businesses who might be up for donating a prize, please shout me – I’m more than happy to send a message (I’ve clearly found my talent in cheeky emails lately 😂). Or if you can connect me directly, even better!

We’re also very happy to take:

* Bottles (alcoholic or alcohol-free – zero alcohol gin etc. all welcome)
* Chocolates and sweets (I will turn these into top-tier hampers, promise)
* Unused gift sets (you know the ones… Baylis & Harding, Lynx… the “thanks Santa” specials 😄)

I can collect, or if you’re passing the youth club, Sara and Roxy can take them in and stash them safely.

Every penny raised goes to DYCP, which does so much for our community… and I am absolutely trying to secure approval for a slightly chaotic trip to Costco to buy all the summer games 😅

We’ll be selling raffle tickets throughout May, with the draw on Friday 29 May. I’ll be dropping little hints about prizes along the way… but honestly, this is one you’ll want tickets for.

I’ve also got domino cards available (adults only – you’ve been warned 👀).

We're back after another brilliant week at Loch Insh Outdoor Centre . The skiing conditions on Cairngorm were the best they've been in years and we feel so lucky that we got to experience it! The group of young people on the trip brought all of the fun, happy and chaotic (in a good way 😂) vibes to the slopes! They were so kind and supportive towards each other and our staff are so proud of everything they achieved on this trip.

A huge thank you to LGA_Foundation for funding our ski residential and providing the opportunity for young people to make unforgettable memories, gain key life skills and help staff and young people build stronger connections ❤️⛷️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿❄️🏔️
