Hello folks, hope everyone is well.
Thank you to everyone who voted in our most recent SU elections, I'm happy to announce that your new Wellbeing Officer is Grace Anderson and your new Outreach Officer is Rodiat Olatunde. I have attached a poster of our whole student exec team, please feel free to reach out to them for any support, any questions re clubs, groups or societies. Welcome to the team, we're very much looking forward to working with you!
I'm also happy to announce that the D&D groups are starting up again this week, our experienced group with run on a Monday evening from 4:30pm, and our beginners group on a Wednesday evening at the same time, both in the CSS Office of the library. In addition to this, we've also had a student approach us about starting up an anime group, so if that's something you might be interested in please get in touch with us.
We also have a regular dance group in collaboration with Pride Action North every Tuesday evening, so please do go along to this if you're looking for a more active club to join.
We also have our SaferToBeMe Activities running throughout this week. This includes a talk from organiser Drew Dalton on Monday at 12:15pm.
Additionally, we will have a talk from Pride Action North's Oscar Daniels on Q***r Healthcare, and some of the barriers q***r people may face when accessing healthcare.
We will have a q***r social lunch in the glass box on Tuesday from 12pm with games and information on our Q***r Students' Network Group, and we will have badge making daily from 11am to 12pm in the library foyer. We hope to see you all there!
We've been approached to ask any students who may have started on a level 1 course with us and progressed forwards onto level 2 and level 3 if they would like to be part of a research group for Connie, an ex employee of the college now studying for her doctorate. If you might like to be involved, please get in touch with Connie, details of the project are in the poster below.
Thanks folks, have an excellent week!
