*Spring 2026 Newsletter*

We are so so excited to share our new newsletter that we have been working on behind the scenes!
In it you will find write ups of our recent events, including our pop up at as well as announcements for the next three MONTHS of meets - including a repeat pop up with goods and company coffee house and our new pop up with this weekend. As always we’ll be in our little corner of on other days.
We have our exciting pop ups, the return of the newcomers events, and a new trial of ‘long game night’!
There are lots of links in the newsletter to check out - if you’re interested in writing an article or game review for a future edition please have a look at the QR code after our game review!
We will also be posting a quarterly google form for generic feedback on recent meets with each newsletter edition. We promise it’s very fast to fill out, just a few yes no type questions.

We hope you enjoy the newsletter as much as we have enjoyed putting it together for you all! 🎲

*April Dates*

Hi all - I’m pleased to announce our April meets!
This includes meeting on Easter Sunday, and another pop up event in place of a normal Sunday meet on 12th April, this time at the tipsy toad on Heaton Road!

Our first pop up event at Heaton Perk this Saturday was wonderful! We had a lovely cosy time having soup and sandwiches and playing some lighter games in the cafe ❤️ Watch this space for more news soon about further pop up events! 👀

We will be meeting every Sunday from 4pm and Wednesday from 7pm on our usual schedule at the Hussar!

We are excited to announce our first pop up event next month, which will be happening at the lovely Heaton Perk - We would love to start supporting more small local heaton businesses through the power of board games!

Just over a week to go until our Birthday Event!
We’re looking for any members or local businesses who would be kind enough to donate anything to our raffle prizes!

We are a small community run group that strives to be free for all at our twice weekly meets. Any ongoing costs for the group over the last 3 years have been paid out of pocket from admins personal money through love of board games and the group. Events like these and raffles are our only source of funding to balance out costs of the day and buffering the effects of ongoing costs through the year🙏🏻

If you are able to donate anything to our prize list please get in touch!

If you’ve already bought a ticket you should have received an email this morning with full event information and a link to complete a pre-order for pizza! Please get in touch with us ASAP if you haven’t received this email.
If you haven’t bought a ticket yet you have only 2 days left to get a ticket which includes pizza at the event! You can buy a ticket after this at any point up until the start of the event on the 24th, however pizza is no longer included/guaranteed in your ticket.

Hello all- long but exciting announcement coming up!
I’m excited to announce our 3rd birthday event extravaganza!!!
This will be from 2pm on Saturday 24th January 2026, and is being held at The Grove.

Tickets will be needed for this event, and tickets will get you: entry to the event, a token for pizza/food at the event, and activities at the event such as bring and buy, quiz, raffle, tournament and surprises!
