Turns out that the organisers of which have not got their finger on the pulse of the lively goings on in Horsley village and have scheduled the England vs Panama at a similar time to Film at the Hearth's awesome evening of entertainment featuring special guest Neil Cole's Adventures in Science Fiction: Museum of Sci-fi and a 40th anniversary special edition screening of Aliens... RUDE! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Well, in the spirit of good sportsmanship, Film at the Hearth have moved their screening up to begin half an hour earlier so that fans of film AND fans of football can enjoy both.

Tyneside designer, world-renowned in the fashion industry. Nigel Cabourn sadly died on the 11th June, 2026, aged 77. He was
awarded the Outstanding Contribution accolade at the Drapers Conscious Fashion Awards 2026.

He was brought up in Peterlee and had lived in Newcastle since 1962 where he established his design studio, after studying fashion design Northumbria University.

His name has become synonymous with authentic British menswear, an obsession. with vintage uniforms and historical fabrics. An avid collector, storyteller and craftsmen.

Good morning everyone! Super honoured to have been asked by the team at The Hearth to introduce a 40th anniversary screening of ALIENS!!!! I'll be giving a short intro alongside a few of the museum items from the ALIEN series....with a couple of anecdotes to accompany them! Ill also have a very special, strictly limited reprint of the Museum ALIEN celebratory publication available on the night! 40 years....I remember going to see the movie at The Forum cinema in Hexham....and then watching it endlessly on video disc!
