Meet Lauren, a young person who has taken part in the KEY+ Challenge!

As part of KEY+ , Lauren and Terry’s Cucumber Dinosaur Squad wanted to help young people find out more about the mental health support available in their community.

They planned and organised a mental health fair, bringing local charities together to share information and raise awareness of the services available.

The experience helped Lauren develop communication skills, grow in confidence and see how she could make a positive difference. Lauren has since taken on another opportunity to use her skills, co-hosting The Key Awards 2026! 🌟

The move from primary to secondary school can bring big changes - new people, new surroundings and greater independence.

KEY+ Transitions projects help young people build the confidence and skills they need to navigate that change, giving them opportunities to try new things, make decisions and use their voice. 🌱

For this young person, the impact has been clear: more confidence and a stronger belief that their opinion matters!

Through KEY+, Brooke had the chance to try something new with a visit to Kynren - The Storied Lands in Bishop Auckland.

But the biggest impact can be seen in Brooke's own words: more confidence to share ideas and more belief in what they can achieve. ✨

KEY+ gives young people the space to have a say, try new things and build confidence through doing.

Fit Mind Boxing Warriors wanted to take their love of boxing further! Through The Key to Find Your Spark, they stepped outside their usual environment, experienced a new club and challenged themselves to try something different.

For Lauren, that journey has helped turn a passion into a plan - competitive boxing, with coaching as a future goal 🥊✨
