Are you passionate about making a lasting difference for people, places and the environment across the North East? This is your chance to help grow something truly transformative.

The North East Community Forest (NECF) is on a mission to increase tree cover, enhance our landscapes and deliver real environmental, social and economic benefits for communities across the region and we’re looking for a Fundraising Officer to help power that ambition 🌳

You’ll play a central role in securing and growing vital funding to support the delivery of our Forest Plan 2025–2050. From developing funding strategies to building partnerships and crafting compelling bids, your work will directly enable projects that create greener, healthier communities.

You’ll help with:
• Securing funding from grants, trusts, corporate partners and donors
• Developing impactful funding proposals and campaigns
• Building strong relationships with partners and stakeholders
• Tracking performance and reporting on fundraising success
• Supporting innovative approaches to long-term income generation

We’re looking for someone who is:

✔️ A confident communicator and relationship builder
✔️ Creative and proactive in identifying funding opportunities
✔️ Organised and able to manage multiple priorities
✔️ Passionate about environmental and community impact

Great to connect, swap ideas, and explore practical regenerative farming, plus where trees can really make an impact.

Fantastic to be back at the Sunderland Schools Climate Conference this year 🌍

We loved engaging with learners through our carbon offsetting game and asking them to make a climate pledge – however big or small. Their ideas looked great hanging on our Scots pine, which took centre stage at the event 🌲 (with support from our hawthorn and field maple too!)

Great to see and feel so much enthusiasm and energy going into caring for our planet — the future’s in safe hands. 🙌🏽
