Today would have been Lisa’s 50th birthday.

It’s hard to believe that it’s been just over five years since she passed away. In her memory, we’re asking for donations of £5 to help children who have experienced the loss of a parent or carer.

Thanks to your incredible generosity, Lisa Shaw’s Little’uns has been able to fund counselling for bereaved children, provide training for those supporting grieving young people, and offer trips and experiences, while working alongside hospices, schools, councils and other organisations to make a real difference.

Every penny donated helps, and we’re so grateful that Lisa’s legacy continues to bring comfort, support and hope to children and families when they need it most.

✨Making a difference together✨

We are so grateful for your continued support. Every donation helps us support children and families across the North East who are facing the loss of a parent or carer.

Recently, we worked with St Teresa's Hospice, and thanks to you, 75 support sessions were delivered to 15 bereaved children — giving them a safe, supportive space to understand and process their grief.

Families shared that the sessions were invaluable, helping their children feel heard, supported, and less alone.

In January, your support also helped St Teresa’s Hospice, in partnership with Darlington Borough Council, deliver a workshop for foster carers — giving them the tools and confidence to support young people through grief.

A huge well done to St Teresa’s Hospice for the incredible work they do.

We’re counting down to the Great North Run, and want YOU to join the Lisa Shaw’s Little’uns team!

Taking place on Sunday 8th September, the GNR is the world’s biggest half marathon, with 60,000 participants, and a 13.1 mile iconic course.

We have a number of charity places available, for a £250 fundraising pledge. Please email [email protected] to register.

Thank you so much to everyone that supported the last Coffee Morning - we raised over £700!

So we're doing it again - and this time, we're getting a little bit Christmassy!

We'd like to give a BIG shout out to Adam who completed the Lakes in a Day event last month to raise funds for our charity. He finished the 50 mile challenge in just under 15 hours, which included a 4000m ascent! ⛰
