Shiremoor Community Association Community Centre At the beginning it was mainly for the use of the local community of all ages. But anyone from beyond Shiremoor can become an associate member.

9th October 1971 the doors opened for the first time thanks to local people who started collecting around the doors every week from around 1964 the building was constructed. Activities available are ballroom dancing sequence dancing and an afternoon tea dance all of which would suit all ages. The main hall and the smaller room are both available for hire for private functions. Facilities at the ce

ntre do include a bar and a kitchen. There is disability access to the building. Also parking available.
