The 5K Challenge is complete, but we need to keep the conversation going 🩷
The 10th marked the end of our challenge and the Move for Life campaign. Today, we’re sharing our final campaign video: a five-step guide to talking with someone who may be struggling with their mental health, including someone experiencing suicidal thoughts.
We often encourage people to check in with friends, family and colleagues, but knowing what to say, how to listen and what to do next can feel difficult. This video aims to help you approach those conversations with care.
The guide draws on Mind’s information about supporting someone who feels suicidal. You can read the full resource here: https://www.mind.org.uk/information-support/suicidal-thoughts-and-suicide-prevention/how-to-help-someone-who-feels-suicidal/
A huge thank you to Sheldon for this video and for his dedication throughout the challenge, 155 kilometres completed! Thank you to everyone who joined him, donated, shared our posts or cheered us on. Every contribution has helped us raise awareness and support our community.
A thank you, too, to our social media coordinator for her dedication over the past month.
Our fundraiser remains open until next week, so there’s still time to donate and help us support more Showmen waiting for help.

The challenge has ended. Let’s keep checking in, listening and keeping the conversation going. 🩷
