Kidical Mass Newcastle upon Tyne Join us to demand streets that are safe for kids!

Kidical Mass Newcastle is a collaboration of Newcastle based groups who organise family-friendly rides with a message in Newcastle, campaigning to enable more children and families to cycle in the area. We want to inspire children and their families to ride more and have fun, but also to raise awareness of how tricky it sometimes can be for families to cycle for everyday journeys, to school, to friends, to the shops and to make the case for child-friendly cycling infrastructure.

Absolutely this. We've been scratching our heads trying to find a safe route from Byker and while the cycle track on Elswick Road is lovely, there are some gaps to get to Exhibition Park.

If we find it difficult, anyone new to cycling couldn't be blamed for giving up before they've even started.

Come and join us on our marshalled ride to show what cycling in Newcastle could be like if it was as easy as riding a bike 😉 See you there!

Planning routes is tricky, trying to find good, safe routes.

Having lots of marshals makes it a lot easier.

Could you help out on 22nd Sept? You just need to be a confident adult cyclist. We'll make sure you're prepared.

Not long now! Help us spread the word and let everyone know to join us on Sat 21st for what we hope will be our biggest ride ever.

With two new rides to support more people to join in the fun AND a North Tyneside Ride on Sunday 22nd it's going to be a busy weekend. We hope to loudly send the message that EVERYONE of ALL ages deserve to be able to cycle safely around our region.
