Come along to Newcastle Racecourse today until 2.30pm for a day filled with books, stories and creativity. And why not grab yourself a Children's Cancer North bookmark to use in your next novel at our stand!

We also have a range of mystery books for you to purchase in support of our Reading For Our Region campaign, with a range of genres to suit for everyone.

📢 Calling all Great North Run participants 📢

We know you will have been meticulously planning your training runs for the big event, the Great North Run on the 13th September, which is why we're thrilled to offer you a chance to get involved in a feel good final warm up run! Join members of our charity team as well as other Children's Cancer North runners in completing the Great North 5k 🏃

It doesn't matter if you're not running on the big day, have chosen another charity to support, or are just looking to take part in the 5k for the fun of it! We'd love to welcome you to for the evening🧡

That's a wrap!

Shout out to the Radiometer team who donated their time to help us wrap even MORE mystery books as part of our Reading For Our Region campaign 📚

Radiometer was visiting their sister company and long-time Children's Cancer North supporter, Leica Biosystems, for a couple of days of meetings and very kindly used one of those days to support us in our latest campaign!

Led by an online tutorial created by wrapping expert Aoife Forbes, Forbes Finishings, (check out our previous posts to see her in action!), the team did an incredible job of neatly hiding the identities of our mystery books during a day of team bonding and friendly wrapping competition. The team were so quick, they even had time to help us assemble our gold childhood cancer awareness ribbons which are available to purchase on our online shop 🎗️

📅 There's less than one month to go until the Great North Run!

Whether you're taking part as one of our charity runners with , cheering on loved ones on the side lines, or greeting the incredible finishers at the end of the half marathon, we'd love to see you sporting something gold in support of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month!

The grant is designed to support passionate individuals like you, who are doing amazing things to raise money for charities like Children's Cancer North, with the costly personal expenses which go hand in hand with significant adventures or challenges. The Adventure for Good Grant can help to cover physical costs like kit, travel, food or entry fees.

Thank you so much to the individuals at Leica Biosystems who kindly volunteered their time this week to facilitate the assembly of our Great North Run packs. Your excellent teamwork makes such a positive impact to our work and we're extremely grateful for your continued support!

With over 500 packs now on their way to our runners, we're looking forward to seeing everyone representing our cause across the Great North Run weekend in September - there's not long left to go! 🏃🧡

📣 Runners, the countdown to is now on! Your packs should be arriving with you over the next few days, including important information about the big day - please keep an eye out for these, and on your inboxes for an accompanying email.
