Tin On A Wall North Tyneside CIC

Tin On A Wall North Tyneside CIC Company number: 14799578
Volunteers collect none-perishable food every first Sat of the month in North Tyneside We tackle food poverty in a targeted way.

Working with small less well established, perhaps unknown local groups who are well integrated in their communities they have an established insight into their own community and are proactive in their approach. They often deal with people on a one-to-one basis and have an excellent rapport with their members. We always ask for feedback from our members and referrals for our future beneficiaries. W

e have grown organically due to our supporters. This is Testament to our success, we only asked for monthly commitment from our volunteers. We have volunteers register to support our cause month after month. Our members are our unofficial regulators. We work with several local groups to find out their individual needs. We all work in harmony throughout the whole process striving to find the best strategy beyond collection. We work to fill the gaps in ensuring supply and demand is always met.

Please join us in sending our condolences to the family of Dorothy Thompson.

Dorothy lived in West Allotment, she was a huge supporter of Tin On A Wall. She would insist on buying tins in her shopping dispite her family suggesting to donate something from her cupboard. However she insisted that she got tins especially for us! She would often pop out when Pam (volunteer) was collecting and have a good chat about it! Dorothy wouldn’t walk past anyone without saying a friendly word. She loved helping others. A very friendly lady-known by many in West Allotment.

Rip Dorothy ❤️

Some sad news to share, one of our oldest supportors died last month aged 95.

This lovely lady was called Meg and she was a regular donar on Preston Grange estate in North Shields. Sue (volunteer pictured) and Meg actually worked together at the Electricity Board a number of years ago.

Sadly Meg passed away peacefully on 8th January - aged 95! We would all like to take the opportunity to pay tribute to Meg and her loyalty and generosity. We send our love and condolences to her daughter Wendy, and their whole family.

Rest in peace Meg. You will be missed.
