Al Asr Welfare Foundation UK (Al Asr) is a registered, independent non-governmental group founded in the United Kingdom (UK) which has evolved from a non-profit educational group initially set up by Nazia Ahmed in 2014 to promote Islamic education and to introduce welfare projects to women and children in North East En

gland. Al Asr students, their families and friends have and are actively supporting many charitable projects locally and globally with a focus on vulnerable groups like children and women. Our charity work has involved providing funds to food banks, providing interest free loan to underprivileged individuals so they can start business and earn livelihood for their families, supporting orphans, and responding to funding calls from established larger charities such as Islamic Relief, Orphans in Need, Human Appeal, and Penny Appeal to help disaster victims, feed the hungry, Akhuwat, etc. Our objectives are centred upon relief of poverty, helping the needy, promote Islamic education and enhance community links and partnerships to improve quality of life regardless of race, religion or gender.
