One Big Iftar at DiverCity Hub 🌙

A few days ago we had the pleasure of hosting our annual One Big Iftar, bringing together an incredible mix of community members, organisations and service providers from across the region.

It was wonderful to see so many VCSE organisations, community groups and partners joining us, sharing the work they do, connecting with one another, and building new relationships that strengthen support for our communities.

The evening was about more than just breaking the fast. It was a moment of community, collaboration and understanding, as people from many backgrounds came together to celebrate alongside our Muslim brothers and sisters observing Ramadan.

Events like this remind us how powerful it is when organisations, services and communities gather in one space, creating opportunities for conversation, partnership and shared purpose.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, contributed, shared information about their work, and helped make the evening so welcoming and meaningful.

**Today at DiverCity Hub 🥊**

We’re proud to be hosting the ENHEIST Invitational, bringing together young people from across the region for a day of discipline, skill and positive competition in grappling and wrestling.

Around 20 exciting bouts will take place throughout the day, showcasing the dedication, courage and commitment of young athletes stepping into the ring.

The event is organised through Positive Steps, led by Stephen France, whose work supports young people , especially young men and teenagers by guiding them towards discipline, confidence and positive direction through martial arts.

Programmes like this show how sport can build character, resilience and respect.

We’re also honoured to welcome some outstanding instructors and well-respected names from the martial arts community, who are here to inspire and support the next generation.

At DiverCity Hub, we’re proud to provide a space where young people can grow, challenge themselves and develop both physically and mentally.

Our aim is to empower young girls to believe in themselves, think boldly about their futures, and realise that their dreams are valid both on and off the pitch. ⚽💭 Whether their goals are in sport, education, leadership, or any career path they choose, we want them to know: there are no limits.

Through games, challenges, and open conversations, we’ll encourage girls to:

🌱 Think positively about their future
🤝 Support and uplift one another
