Carers Week 2026

Shout out to our amazing team of staff who do a fantastic job caring for our service users on a daily basis.

This week is Carers Week, which shines a light on the often faceless, yet vital work of unpaid carers up and down the country. Like many other charities, Key is calling for government action to ensure the work of carers is valued, through systemic change and fair pay.

Last week, Steven decided to join the biking crew for the first time in over a year. He was apprehensive at first, but rode off with confidence and enjoyed the sunshine. He even stepped up to help repair a punctured tyre along the way!

In Key we use the 5 Ways to Wellbeing to feel promote positive wellbeing. Steven has shown us how ‘being active’ can reduce anxiety and elevate your mood🧘‍♂️

Meet Scott👋
Scott has been our service user for 8 years here at Key. Scott has decided to take on the challenge of the Great North Run this September, and with your support, we can help him achieve his goal of raising £350 for Key.

During his time with us, Scott’s passion for music therapy and the band has only grown, and in recent years he’s explored his theatrical talents with our drama group.

Now, he’s channeling that same determination into raising funds to support Key, helping us continue providing opportunities for others.
