Since 2011 Interakt has primarily supported people with learning disabilities, physical/sensory challenges to develop skills in order to maintain their sense of identity and purpose through positive daily activities. Whilst still providing this service Interakt now provides similar sessions to people of all ages and abilities throughout the week. Interakt continues to develop and grow as an indepe

ndent group, working with professional artists, musicians and drama consultants on a weekly basis. The company continues to seek a range of external partners to support its work and to present opportunities for the participants to be involved with a variety of performance projects. Our sessions are designed so that everyone can learn and enjoy together as each session leader is a professional in their respective field. Our Session leaders deliver in a variety of venues throughout West Berkshire; we offer training opportunities for staff, deliver workshops for students and share our skills and expertise with them. We have an “every person matters” attitude which is reflected in every session and teaches respect and team building skills which can be applied in all walks of life. During this heatwave, the safety of our participants and staff is, of course, our first priority.

We have sourced a second air conditioner and are now looking to remain open and a cool🧊 (and cool😎) place for our participants throughout the heatwave.

We will be rejigging our normal sessions to be more hot-weather-friendly, but do understand that some participants may want to just stay home.

If any of our families or members of the community need help during this difficult week, please do get in touch.
