Barney Bardsley

We are very sad to let everyone know that Barney died last Friday.

Barney represented everything that is Loose Ends, volunteering his time over many years, with a smile and friendly welcome to new volunteers and an easy way with our clients. His cooked breakfasts were legendary, and we will miss him hugely.

Our Chair, Diana Lacey, and Lead Supervisor Paul Spour, visited Barney at home a couple of weeks ago to award him the 'Golden Egg' in recognition of the hundreds of fried eggs he has cooked over the many years he volunteered with Loose Ends. He was delighted to receive the accolade and was his usual great company.
