VIAN Environment society No pollution is the solution. The word VIAN is a Kurdish word that means love.

VIAN Environment society was formed at the beginning of November 2022 by refugees from ten countries: Iran, Namibia, India, Afghanistan, Uganda, Turkey, Chad, Pakistan, Sudan, Iraq, all of whom are residents of the Regency Park Hotel in Thatcham West Berkshire. The goals of this association are as follows:
1-To keep Thatcham and surrounding areas clean and green.
2- To train and encourage both the refugees in the Regency Park Hotel and other local people to observe urban hygiene, protect trees and green spaces in the area and cease to use disposable containers and plastic bags.
3. To provide assistance to the local council and the people of Thatcham, in gratitude for the kindness and support that they have shown towards refugees.
