💙 As part of Volunteer Week, we'd like to say a huge THANK YOU to our fantastic volunteers at Newbiggin Learning Hive – Jan, Stephen and Edwin! 💙

These amazing individuals regularly give their time to support litter picking, gardening projects, and community activities, helping to make a real difference to our local area and the people who use our services.

To show our appreciation, we enjoyed a well-deserved lunch together at the Community Hub Café last week. ☕🍽️

Thank you for your dedication, hard work, and community spirit. Your support is invaluable, and we are incredibly grateful for everything you do.

🌻 What a fantastic time celebrating National Numeracy Day at Newbiggin Learning Hive on Wednesday 20th May 🌻

Our learners enjoyed getting hands-on during our sunflower planting workshop, learning about measurement and growth while planting their own sunflower seeds to take home and nurture.

A huge thank you to Asda for kindly donating the sunflower seeds and to Bernicia Group for providing the tape measures, helping to make the activity both fun and educational for everyone involved.

We can't wait to see how tall those sunflowers grow over the coming weeks! 🌱📏☀️

A few photos from yesterday's Bird Watching Workshop at the Hive! 🐦🌿

A huge thank you to Ben and Katherine from Space for Shorebirds for joining us and delivering such an interesting talk, followed by a guided walk to the beach for some bird spotting with our group.

We’d also like to say a big thank you to Brighter Storey For All for their very generous donation, which has funded all of the resources we used today, as well as items for our Hive Garden. This includes: paints, bird houses, bird feeders, bird seed, a bird bath, journals and nesting boxes. Your support is truly appreciated and has helped make sessions like this possible for our community 💙
